Patent number: 11904177Abstract: Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices may include a high voltage capacitor (HV Cap) configured to store energy required to deliver a defibrillation shock to a patient; batteries configured to charge the HV Cap; a DC/DC converter circuit including a high voltage transformer, a FET switch with associated driver, and a rectifying diode; an H-bridge circuit configured to transform energy released from the HV Cap into a bi-phasic pulse; and a memory and microprocessor configured to operate the AED device. In particular, the HV Cap, the DC/DC converter circuit, the H-bridge circuit, the one or more batteries, and the memory and the microprocessor may contained in a pocket-sized housing, the AED device may be configured to continuously monitor and adjust the rate at which the batteries charge the HV Cap, and the AED device may include a variable frequency relaxation oscillator circuit configured to acquire a patients Z-body measurement.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 2022Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: USA Medical Electronix, Inc.Inventors: Tommi Kuutti, Victor Tikhonov

Publication number: 20060217729Abstract: A surgical power tool includes a hand unit and a tool holder. The tool holder engages a hub of a tool to hold the tool during use. One tool holder includes a substantially planar support surface, a pair of spaced-apart sidewalls protruding from the support surface, each sidewall having at least one tab extending from the sidewall toward the other of the sidewalls. A tool clamp, including a post protrudes from the support surface with an enlarged head at a distal end thereof. A lock button protrudes from the support surface, the lock button being depressible toward the support surface. Another tool holder includes an output shaft having a driven end and a free end, the free end of the output shaft having a slot formed therein. A collet is disposed coaxially with the output shaft and is rotatable relative thereto. The collet has a collet wall extending between the first and second ends of the collet.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 9, 2005Publication date: September 28, 2006Applicant: Brasseler USA Medical LLCInventors: Dana Eskridge, Dennis Foster, Douglas Haight, Laura Kriese

Patent number: 4857063Abstract: A portable surgical aspirator (10) for use in removing body fat and fluids by drawing same under vacuum through a cannula (52) that is inserted beneath a person's skin performing a liposuction surgical procedure. The aspirator is maintained in a single housing (11) that is caster mounted for ease of movement and includes dual oilless vacuum pumps (15) mounted to opposite ends of an electric motor (14) that can be operated from a manual switch (27) located on the housing or a remote foot switch (65). Pump (15) operation provides, through a single vacuum (18) port, nearly one atmosphere of vacuum within three seconds. The vacuum port (18) is connected through hoses to vacuum bottles (34) and (38) that are for collecting fat and body fluids, passed through tubing from the cannula. The vacuum bottles are maintained in a bottle caddy (56) that is arranged for releasable attachment to the aspirator housing.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1988Date of Patent: August 15, 1989Assignee: USA MedicalInventor: Luke H.
