Publication number: 20170257641Abstract: Systems and methods for motion estimation for video encoding are described. The method observes the motion from the previous frames of the video uses the same for predicting search pattern and classifying the motion for the current frame. The motion in the video is predicted by calculating the Temporal Redundancy Achieved for previous frames and the Block Movement Factor in the previous frame. The method also considers the available bandwidth for choosing the search pattern especially, in the case of video streaming in wireless mobile ad hoc networks.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2016Publication date: September 7, 2017Applicant: Uurmi Systems Private LimitedInventors: Mallesham Dasari, Himanshu Sindwal, Naresh Vattikuti, Srinivasa Rao Venkata Maddela

Patent number: 9537702Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems for identifying a channel bandwidth and channel offset of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal. The OFDM signal is received by a receiver apparatus that may be tuned to RF bandwidth of 20 MHz, 40 MHz or 80 MHz. The method utilized by the apparatus includes identifying the location of the primary channel and subsequently determining a sequence of equalized frequency domain sub-symbols of the signal field in the lower and the upper frequency band. Further, a cross-correlation between the sequence of equalized frequency domain sub-symbols is computed along with the computing energy of the sequence of equalized frequency domain sub-symbols. Finally, the cross-correlation and the computed energy are compared for identifying the channel offset and the channel bandwidth.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2014Date of Patent: January 3, 2017Assignee: Uurmi Systems Private LimitedInventors: Nanda Kishore Chavali, Syed Zeeshan Ismail

Patent number: 9076206Abstract: Various embodiments of a method, system and computer program product for correcting distortions in a multimedia content comprising a set of temporal images are disclosed. Each image of the set of temporal images is decomposed into patches. Thereafter, each set of temporal patches is parsed hierarchically to obtain a set of background components and one or more moving objects. Thereafter, the set of background components and the one or more moving objects are aggregated to reconstruct the multimedia content.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2013Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: Uurmi Systems Private LimitedInventors: Shanti S. Patent number: 8982979Abstract: Method and system for decomposing a complex channel matrix at MIMO receiver is disclosed. The method comprises determining a real channel matrix from the complex channel matrix, wherein the number of rows and columns of the real channel matrix depends on a number of transmitting chains and a number of receiving chains. Thereafter, the below mentioned steps repeated predetermined number of times: A pre-Householder vector is determined based on the real channel matrix. A Householder vector is determined based on the pre-Householder vector. Thereafter a Householder matrix is determined based on the Householder vector and a transpose of the Householder vector without performing division operation. Finally, an orthogonal matrix and an upper triangular matrix are determined based on the Householder matrix, wherein the upper triangular matrix comprises a predetermined number of zeros in an upper triangle.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2013Date of Patent: March 17, 2015Assignee: Uurmi Systems Private LimitedInventors: Nanda Kishore Chavali, Kranti Kumar Balaga

Publication number: 20140348267Abstract: A low latency transmitter and receiver for an OFDM system are disclosed. The low latency transmitter includes an FFT module and a baseband modulator. The FFT module computes IDFT of PSK constellation data symbols or QAM constellation data symbols. The baseband modulator performs complex modulation of the IDFT samples by multiplying these samples with 1 and ?1 alternatively in time domain. The low latency receiver includes a baseband demodulator and another FFT module. The baseband demodulator performs complex demodulation of the received samples of OFDM symbols by multiplying the samples of OFDM symbols with 1 and ?1 alternatively in time domain thereby obtaining baseband demodulated symbols. The FFT module of the receiver computes DFT of samples of the baseband demodulated symbols to obtain samples of the OFDM demodulated symbols.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 22, 2013Publication date: November 27, 2014Applicant: Uurmi Systems Private LimitedInventor: Nanda Kishore Chavali

Publication number: 20140307767Abstract: A method and wireless receiver for determining a modulation format of a transmitted signal from a received signal over a multipath channel are disclosed. The received signal has a frequency offset with respect to the transmitted signal. The wireless receiver down-samples the received signal. The down-sampled signal is equalized in order to mitigate an effect of multipath channel. Then the wireless receiver applies differential processing on the equalized signal to convert the frequency offset into a constant phase offset. Thereafter, values of one or more moment based features for the equalized signal are determined by the wireless receiver. The modulation format of the received signal is then determined based on the values of one or more moment based features.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2013Publication date: October 16, 2014Applicant: Uurmi Systems Private LimitedInventors: Krishna Karthik N.
