  • Patent number: 11970805
Abstract: The embodiments herein discloses a system for dyeing fabrics on-demand, comprising a flatbed mechanism for loading a substrate for dyeing; an ink feeder mechanism, consisting of at least Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (C, M, Y, K) colors and a color combiner mechanism or color mixer to combine the inks and create a composite ink; at least two nozzle heads to deposit the composite ink on both sides of a substrate; an operator console; and a reset mechanism. The nozzle is configured to move across the entire width of a substrate from one side to the other, while the substrate rolls to aid dyeing. The nozzle dyes a single color at any given time.

  • Patent number: 10706636
Abstract: A system and method is provided for creating editable configurations of 3D models. A 2D vector outlining a plurality of geometries is created and overlaid on the UV map of a 3D model. The 2D vector is used to create a plurality of virtual mesh groups outlined by the 2D vector, on the underlying mesh group of the 3D model. At least one mesh is selected from the plurality of virtual mesh groups for editing, thereby creating a plurality of editable configurations of the 3D model. The virtual mesh group is edited by applying any one of coloring, imaging, and texturing operations. The editing a virtual mesh group for applying a color transformation is replaced by applying the color transformation to the 2D vector and rasterizing the 2D vector into an image and applying the image as a texture on the UV map.

  • Patent number: 9661886
Abstract: This invention outlines a novel method for capturing the “state” of an intended design on an apparel pattern, and subsequently transforming that “state” to a new style or size and then applying that modified “state” to automatically recreate the original design, but for the new style or size. This invention captures the “state” of a design as a mathematical function, rather than the design itself and then applies a series of transformations to that “state” to map it to a new style. The system and method enables designers to seamlessly extrapolate designs across apparels and accessories of various sizes and styles. The automated system and method obviates the need for creating individual designs for each style or size, while ensuring that the transformed designs retain their visual characteristics even upon extrapolation.

  • Patent number: 9406172
Abstract: A method for modifying the dimensions of a design pattern embedded on a garment is disclosed. Original dimensions of the apparel and new dimensions according to which the apparel is to be modified are determined. A coordinate pair indicating the center point of the design pattern is determined. Two delta factors, one corresponding to height and the other corresponding to the width are determined. The delta factors indicate the difference, in terms of height and width respectively, between the original dimensions of the garment, and the dimensions to which the garment is purported to be modified. Subsequently, one of the delta factors is selected depending upon the nature of modification, and provided as an input to an affine transformation operation, along with the coordinate pair. The dimensions of the design pattern are modified based on the affine transformation operation and the selected delta factor and coordinate pair.

  • Patent number: 9345280
Abstract: This invention is a method for automating the generation of manufacturing patterns for apparel and accessories directly from designs created on a 3-dimensional (3D) model. This differs from existing models in which users design “2D slices” of a 3D image created at various pre-defined angles. This invention includes the steps of: 1) Making the UV map of the 3D model exactly match the manufacturing pattern in shape and scale; 2) Positioning the various components in the UV map to facilitate the desired image or text flow; and 3) Using a UV unwrap method to produce the manufacturing patterns with the exact art and text on each component. Images and text are thereby allowed to span across seams and be accurately manufactured. Automation of this process ensures that the images and text on the manufacturing patterns are the exact same as that which the user designed.
