    Abstract: The invention provides a power assisted hydraulic control system suitable for actuating clutches and brakes. The system incorporates a master cylinder having a master piston therein defining a control chamber, a hydraulic power assistance unit, and a distributor adapted to connect, by means of a slide valve, the power assistance unit with the hydraulic receiver controlling the brake or clutch unit. The distributor comprises a slide-valve having a plunger one end of which is subjected to the pressure in the control chamber and the other end of which is subjected to the pressure in the receiver.A bypass channel links the control chamber of the master cylinder to the pipeline connecting the operating port of the distributor to the receiver. The bypass channel has a bypass valve controlled by a spring which opens in the event of failure of the power assistance to permit manual operation by the master piston.

    Abstract: A power-assisted steering device for a vehicle comprises a two-part steering column, which parts are capable of limited relative angular displacement, and a hydraulic power-assistance mechanism having a distributor responsive to relative angular displacement of the parts and comprising two rotors, each rotationally integral with a corresponding part of the steering column. One or both of the steering column parts has a prism-shaped cavity in its end, a prism-shaped plug being received in the cavity with an angular offset and being connected to the other part, thus providing the limited angular play between the two parts. The plug may either be a separate element received in cavities in both parts of the steering column, or may be received in a cavity of only one part and integrally formed with the other part. A thin corrugated tooth annular element may act as a rotational lock between each part and the corresponding rotor of the distributor.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a clutch release bearing, particularly for motor vehicles, of the kind comprising an operating element, which is acted on by a clutch fork, a drive element, which, under the action of the operating element, acts on the disengaging mechanism of the clutch, and axially acting elastic means, which are supported by the operating element and bear on the drive element in order to hold the latter against a bearing plate which is axially fast with the operating element. According to the invention, the circumference along which these axially acting elastic means bear on the drive element has a diameter which is approximately equal to the diameter of the circumference along which the drive element is capable of bearing on the disengaging mechanism of the clutch. As a result, the axially acting elastic means are not able to cause a rocking torque on the drive element, which is thus maintained in axial alignment with the operating element.

This shoulder is in contact with only one of the axial edges of the axial part of the respective lug, so that the other axial edge of the axial part is substantially rectilinear.
