  • Patent number: 5782052
Abstract: A shutter assembly is provided which includes an integral shutter body portion having side rails and either slats or raised panels there between. The shutter assembly also includes separately molded end caps and one or more mullions. The shutter body is adjusted to its desired length by cutting the shutter at one or both ends. The end caps are snapped onto the shutter body and/or welded into place. The mullion is then snapped onto the body to produce a finished, balanced appearance for the overall shutter assembly.

  • Patent number: 5775032
Abstract: A reversible wall mounting plate adapted for mounting to a surface of stepped siding comprising two pieces, a frame and a face portion. The frame, which is symmetrical about an axis, has a continuous wall with opposite first and second free-edge surfaces. Both free-edge surfaces are configured in a stepped fashion and have at least two portions of convex curvature. The convex portions of the first free-edge surface have different dimensions from the convex portions of the second free-edge surface in order to accommodate differently sized siding. The face portion includes a front wall with a peripheral wall extending therefrom; the face portion and frame have cooperating mating elements permitting the face portion to be releasably attached to the frame.

  • Patent number: 5511345
Abstract: A lawn crypt is fabricated from molded unitary plastic structural members. The structural members are attached to one another so as to inhibit lateral movement therebetween by pins inserted through interengaging protuberances extending outward from the sides of the structural members. The protuberances resemble half-circles or partially open knuckles. Every adjacent protuberance of each structural member opens in the opposite direction. The lawn crypt allows burial chamber lids to be cast in place by the use of a unitary plastic molded lid form that becomes part of the lid after casting. The lid form includes molded-in sockets for restraining concrete reinforcing bars placed therein.

  • Patent number: 5365707
Abstract: An architectural element is formed from a frame and a body. The frame includes a nailing flange for adhering it to a surface such as a wall and an outwardly extending portion. The body, which substantially overlies the mounting frame, has an attachment portion for engaging the outwardly extending portion. The mounting frame and body are held together by an affixing part. In one embodiment, a recess is formed in the body and the affixing part includes a clip disposed within the recess. The clip resists movement of the body away from the mounting frame after their engagement. Resilient foam is disposed within a portion of the recess for forming a seal between the mounting frame and body. The body also includes an outwardly protruding portion which is designed to cover siding material that may overlie the nailing flange of the mounting frame.
