Abstract: Disclosed is a composite reed (55) for a wind instrument and to a method for producing such a reed. The reed has a matrix made of a polymer material and a plurality of reinforcing fibres made of another polymer material, embedded inside the matrix. The other polymer material is a thermoplastic polymer material.

Abstract: The invention relates to a reed cutter device (1) for cutting the reeds (5) of wind instruments, in which the body of the reed (5) is held on a bed (3) and the end (7) of the reed is able to be cut by the die (45) and punch (47) cutting assembly (9) for cutting to a suitable profile, comprising a device (11) for centering the reed (5) relative to said die and punch cutting assembly (9), provided with a means (19, 35) for advancing the reed longitudinally and with a means (19, 33) for adjusting the transverse position of the end (7) of the reed (5) on said bed (3), and the cutting assembly (9) comprises a punch (47) mounted movably relative to a fixed die (45) mounted on the bed (3), the punch (47), which is mounted on an actuating plunger (13), being able to slide on an axis perpendicular to the plane of the reed (5) or to the plane of the bed (3).
