    Abstract: A color temperature switching scheme for an LED lighting device is disclosed. The color temperature switching scheme includes a plurality of different color temperature performances correspondingly generated by a plurality of different paired combinations of a first electric power allocated to a first LED load emitting a light with a first color temperature and a second electric power allocated to a second LED load emitting a light with a second color temperature such that a mingled color temperature between the first color temperature and the second color temperature can be generated thru a light diffuser. For tuning the mingled color temperature of the LED lighting device a reverse yet complementary power adjustment process for distributing a total electric power T between the first LED circuit and the second LED circuit is required such that a total light intensity remains unchanged while the mingled color temperature is being adjusted.

    Abstract: An LED security light includes an LED load and a motion sensor. The LED load is activated at dusk and deactivated at dawn by a light sensing control unit. At night, the LED load is activated for performing a low level illumination. When a motion signal is detected by the motion sensor, the LED load is switched to perform a high level illumination for a short time period and then resumes to the low level illumination. The low level illumination and the high level illumination are respectively adjustable within respective designed ranges. The LED load is driven by a switching circuitry comprising a driver to output an adequate voltage with constant electric current such that a voltage V across each LED is confined in a range Vth<V<Vmax with Vth being a threshold voltage and Vmax being a maximum voltage avoiding damaging the LED.

    Abstract: An LED security light with an integrated motion sensor includes a PIR motion sensing unit and an LED load integrated together to become a compact lighting device. The PIR motion sensing unit is a two-portion design with a Fresnel lens either integrating with a light diffuser or as a separate piece positioned right behind the light diffuser and with a PIR motion sensor positioned at a focal point of the Fresnel lens and encircled by LEDs, wherein the Fresnel lens collects infrared ray signals generated by a moving body and remotely converges infrared ray signals on the PIR motion sensor. A signal processing circuitry decides whether the infrared ray signals represent an intrusion in order to turn on the compact lighting device. When the compact lighting device of this art is turned on, there is no shadow effect which reduces the lumens output of the security light.
