Abstract: Apparatus for internal welding of pipes is provided with an external mechanism for rotating a pipe to be treated and a car insertable into the pipe and operable within the pipe. The car which carries a welding equipment is rigidly mounted to a central shaft which is freely pivotally mounted by means of bearings in two subframes each of which carries a number of tread rollers which can be locked against the inner surface of the pipe, so that the subframes during the operation are rotated together with the pipe whereas the car hangs downwardly within the pipe.

Abstract: A slag breaker of a pressure-type coal gasifier having a rotary grate with a plurality of grate segments, a generator bottom and an ash separator, has an inclined breaking plate arranged to be located immediately below the grate segment and prior to the ash separator and provided with a plurality of breaking projections, and a wear sheet arranged to be located on the generator bottom and provided with a plurality of breaking webs.

Abstract: In a process for obtaining in a continuous operation a specimen gas from a flowing gas current of a pressurized crude gas for analysis purposes, a branch current is withdrawn from the main current in an anisokinetic manner whereupon the branch current of the crude gas is passed through a cooling device and a specimen is then withdrawn from the branch current likewise in an anisokinetic manner and the specimen is subjected to pressure release and filtering prior to passing it into a gas analysis apparatus.

Abstract: The invention discloses an apparatus for maximizing the uniformity of distribution of gasification medium in a rotary grid generator. To insure proper input, a distribution head is rotatably mounted within the interior of the rotary grid, and the distribution head is connected by means of elastic input conduits to either openings which are directly connected with the reactor chamber, or to distribution chambers in the individual segments of the rotary grid. Through use of the apparatus, the formation of canals through preferential gas flow in the solid beds of pressure gas generators is eliminated.

Abstract: A cooling arrangement particularly for cooling a locking device arranged in a fuel feed opening of pressure gasification generators comprises a lock seat connected to the generator and a lock cone adapted for moving into and out of engagement with the lock seat and provided with a supply line to provide a cooling medium to the lock cone and a discharge line through which the used medium is drained off the lock cone. The lock cone is formed as a hollow body with a cooling chamber in its interior and is provided with guide means extending towards the lowermost area of the lock cone to direct the cooling medium into contact with the mostly overheated lowermost area of the lock cone positioned in a close relationship with the pressure gasification generator.
