Abstract: Specially designed articles of furniture for use in conference and office settings which include a plurality of uniquely configured supporting legs, one or more article support structures disposed centrally of the supporting legs and a novel connector member for interconnecting the support structures of the legs. The connector member also enables the quick and easy interconnection of the polygonal panels that make up certain of the article support structures of the apparatus. The articles of furniture can be used to support and transport a wide variety of devices such as audio and video equipment, slide projectors, overhead projectors and the like.

Abstract: A chair construction having a molded plastic shell that is interconnected with a tubular supporting structure in a manner that simplifies the manufacture of the chair and at the same time produces a durable construction that can withstand continuous, normal classroom type use. The supporting structure includes specially formed rear legs, the upper portions of which are interconnected with the back support of the molded plastic shell using a specially designed tube end connector mechanism. More particularly, the molded plastic shell includes integrally molded connector tabs to which the rear legs of the supporting frame of the chair are connected by means of the connector mechanism.

Abstract: A lightweight, high-strength support platform for use in furniture construction, which has superior structural integrity and can be used, by way of example, in portable folding tables, in work tables and in modular furniture of the character typically used in modern office complexes. The support platform embodies a novel structural reinforcement core, and exhibits superior strength characteristics. In one form of the invention, the support platform is used in the construction of a lightweight, readily portable folding table which includes two pair of legs that are pivotally connected to the platform for pivotal movement between an extended operational position and a retracted storage and transport position.

Abstract: A compact, simple-to-use and readily adjustable connector module which can be easily affixed to a work platform such as a desk or worktable for use in interconnecting various types of electrically operated machines and communication devices, which are positioned on the work platform, with power and communication lines. The connector module includes a housing having a work platform receiving channel which closely receives a portion of the edge of the work platform so that the module can be conveniently interconnected with the work platform by means of a simple, easy-to-use clamping mechanism.
