Abstract: A blending system includes a blending container having a base surface. The container also has a side wall extending upwardly from said base surface and a sound sleeve extending upwardly from said base surface and encasing the side wall. The container may also have a viscoelastic material positioned between the side wall and the sound sleeve extending upwardly from said base surface. In one embodiment, a blender has a base containing a motor and the container described above and the container is able to attach and engage with the motor and the base.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system configured to determine masses, weights, and/or other quantities of individual ingredients added to a food dish during preparation. At least some of the components of the system may be configured to be used in a food preparation area. The system may include a scale, a client computing device, external resources, and/or other components. The system may be configured to weigh and/or determine the mass of individual ingredients of the dish as the ingredients are added to the dish. The system may be configured to determine the individual mass and/or weight of each ingredient based on the masses and/or weights of individual ingredients previously added to the dish and/or a current mass and/or weight of the dish as a given ingredient is added.
Abstract: A blender system that includes a base that is selectively and operatively engaged with a container is shown and described herein. The base may include a near field communications chip that may communicate with a near field communications chip of a container. The base also includes a motor that is selectively and operatively engaged with a blade disposed within the container.

Abstract: A blending device includes a motor, a motor controller, and a wireless controller configured to receive a wireless signal. The motor controller may be configured to alter the operations of the motor based the wireless signal. The wireless signal may include a blending program to be carried out by the blending device. The blending device may include one or more sensors configured to sense parameters of the blending device. The wireless signal may include information related to the sensed parameters. A blending device network may be formed by providing a second blending device having a wireless controller in communication with the first blending device wireless controller. The first and second blending devices may share information over the network.
Abstract: An interlocking method and blending apparatus is provided which includes a base, container, and lid. The apparatus comprises light emitters, light sensors, and light reflectors. Light is emitted by the light emitters from the base, through the container, and toward the lid. Light reflectors in the lid reflect the light back through the container and toward the base. The light sensors detect the reflected light and can be used to control operation of the blender and illumination of the container. Light may be in the visible spectrum, or sub-visible spectrum. The light emitters and light sensors may be at the base and/or the bottom of the container.

Abstract: A blending system is disclosed herein. The blending system may comprise a blender base, a container and a blending volume reduction device. The blending volume reduction device may be removably inserted into the container of the blender system at various positions. The positions may alter the working volume of the container when the blending volume reduction device is inserted in the container.

Abstract: A blending system is shown and described herein. The blending system may include a base including a motor, a blade base assembly selectively and operably engaged with the base, where the motor drives a blade assembly of the blade base, and a blending container engageable with the blade base. The blade base may be configured to prevent driving of the blade assembly when the blending container is not engaged with the blade base assembly. The blade base may be engaged with the blending container and the blade assembly may mechanically engage with the motor.
