Abstract: A fluid administration system for the operation of a cylinder and piston assembly for actuating mechanisms, mainly glassware forming and handling mechanisms, allowing rapid changing thereof, comprising: a passage network practiced at the cylinder cap, connected to the fluid admission and discharging passages of the centering ring, at the cylinder and at the support frame; and speed controlling valves, at the passage network of the cylinder cap, to control the velocity of discharging of fluid from the cylinder and piston assembly in its ascending and descending runs.
Abstract: A method for preparing pre-reacted batches of raw materials substantially free from carbon dioxide for the production of glass formulas, comprising: mixing stoichiometric amounts of substances containing molecular systems of silica-sodium, silica-sodium-calcium, silica-sodium-magnesium, silica-calcium-magnesium, silica-sodium-calcium-magnesium and mixtures thereof, having reaction temperatures which do not form a liquid phase, which are selected from invariant points or from points on a line connecting invariant points of phase diagrams of said molecular systems, to complete a desired molecular glass formula.

Abstract: The invention is a solar control glass having a base glass composition, and colorants consisting essentially of from about 0.40 to 0.93 wt. % Fe2O3; about 0 to 0.30 wt. % TiO2; and about 0.01 to 0.03 wt. % Cr2O3. The glass having a light transmission using “A” of at least 70%; a reduced ultraviolet radiation transmittance of less than 35%; a direct solar heat transmittance of less than 45%; a dominant wavelength below 545 nanometers; and a purity of less than 7%.
