  • Patent number: 11793403
Abstract: Methods and systems for assessing and/or treating visual disorders, such as discorder in accommodative ability and/or vergence ability, of a person are provided. Assessment and training exercises can be performed utilizing a computerized system in communication with a head-mountable display (HMD), such as a virtual or augmented reality display, which can display visual targets at various vergence and accommodative demands. Lenses, such as inverted bifocal lenses, may be used in combination with the HMD to mimic natural accommodative demand during viewing or to enable assessment and treatment of accommodation disorders. Corrective factors can be calculated and utilized for generation of visual targets to account for lens characteristics and/or interpupillary distance mismatch.

  • Patent number: 11478141
Abstract: Methods and systems for assessing a visual field of a person are provided. Information can be presented to a person undergoing a visual field testing in a manner that utilizes the person's natural tendency to look at an object that is displayed so that it attracts the person's attention. A fixation target can be displayed on a display viewed by a user. Once it is determined that the user has viewed the fixation target and the person's eye(s) location is determined, a test target is displayed on the display in a location corresponding to a location on the user's visual field. The test target is determined to be either detected or missed based on user input acquired as the user is viewing the display.

  • Patent number: 10849483
Abstract: The multi-section deployable and articulating endoscope is designed with tubing and flat cables that are small enough that the endoscope becomes a thin stick that is minimally invasive and usable with other devices in a common port. The endoscope includes very thin flat cables that are used for electrical connectivity and threaded above and below an articulation and deployment hinge for opening the endoscope passively using an adjustable tension spring, or by pulling on a first cable and closing the endoscope by pulling on a second cable, When in a tubular configuration the endoscope may be inserted into the port and an insufflation membrane inside the port forms an air seal with the endoscope, which aids in insufflation and desufflation. The endoscope includes one or more tubes for creating an air jet stream above the camera to act as a shield for keeping the camera clean.

  • Publication number: 20180093525
Abstract: A method of transferring an image to an article is provided using a heat-transfer assembly having a support layer and an image transfer layer, wherein the image transfer layer contains a binder, ink receptor and a film-forming, hydrophilic blocking agent. When an aqueous ink composition is used to print an image on the upper surface of the transfer assembly, the blocking agent is disrupted in the imaged areas, but not the unimaged areas, such that when the image is transferred to a substrate by the application of heat and pressure, substantially all of the binder in the unimaged areas remains with the transfer assembly.

  • Patent number: 9815264
Abstract: A line of prints has passed through a laminating machine so that a laminating film has been applied to both surfaces of the line. To enable individual prints to be torn off the laminating film is indented or perforated near to an edge of the line of prints. Tearing is then effected from the perforated edge to the other edge. The indentation or perforation of both films occurs downstream of their respective supply rolls.

  • Patent number: 9557757
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for scaling a voltage regulator implemented as an integrated circuit (IC) that includes a power transistor configured to convert an input voltage to an output voltage, and a feedback loop configured to regulate the output voltage in response to a voltage change. At least one component of the voltage regulator may be selected for scaling, and a range of scaling factors may be identified for the component. An optimal coefficient may be determined for the scaling factors within the identified range through an empirical formulation and/or by running a circuit simulation based on parameters associated with voltage, load current, and load capacitance, for example. The optimal coefficient may be a coefficient that when applied to the component optimizes the performance of the IC and thus, the component may be scaled based on the optimal coefficient to achieve an optimized performance of the IC.

  • Patent number: 9454167
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for a voltage regulator implemented as an integrated circuit (IC). The voltage regulator may include a power transistor configured to receive and convert an input voltage from a voltage source to an output voltage, and a feedback loop configured to regulate the output voltage in response to a change from a desired level. The feedback loop may include an error amplifier configured to determine and amplify a value difference between the output voltage and a reference output voltage, a voltage divider configured to generate voltage proportional to the output voltage such that a ratio is the value difference, and a first unity gain buffer configured to increase stability of the IC. In some examples, the feedback loop may include a second unity gain buffer and/or an overshoot suppressor circuit configured to reduce an output voltage fluctuation when a current consumed by the load is changed suddenly.
