  • Patent number: 11351586
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for producing an elongated profiled part, in which a profiled strip is produced from a flat strip by rolling and the profiled strip is embossed in sections, by means of which at least one longitudinal section of the profiled strip is offset relative to at least one other longitudinal section in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the profiled strip, and with which method the strip is trimmed in such a way that, after the embossing, the longitudinal sections that are offset relative to each other have different cross-sections. In order to increase the reproducibility of the method, before the profiling, the flat strip is trimmed in such a way that by means of the embossing of the trimmed and profiled strip, the longitudinal sections that are offset relative to each other have different cross-sections.

  • Patent number: 11098385
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for continuously roller-forming and hardening sheet steel in which a sheet steel strip is continuously roller-formed into a profile in a roller-profiling unit, characterized in that the roller-formed profile strand is preheated to a temperature below the austenite starting temperature (Ac1) and the roller-formed profile strand is then heated across subregions of its cross-section and/or subregions of its length to a temperature above AC3, with the roller-formed profile strand being acted on with tension at least during the heating of subregions to a temperature >AC3.

  • Patent number: 10618090
Abstract: A method for producing a thickness-profiled metal strip in which at least one opening is produced in the metal strip and in a subsequent step, the metal strip is longitudinally rolled with at least one roller that penetrates into the metal strip in some regions across its strip width and thus a thickness profiling at least in the width direction of the metal strip is produced. In order to improve the reproducibility of the method, what is proposed is that at least one hole passing through the metal strip is produced as an opening in the metal strip, over which hole the roller that penetrates into the metal strip longitudinally rolls in order to produce the thickness profiling in the width direction of the metal strip.

  • Patent number: 9599255
Abstract: A profile is produced from a bent metal sheet surrounding an interior space by at least 360°, the longitudinal edges of said metal sheet being connected to respectively adjacent wall sections of the metal sheet. The longitudinal edges are separated from the respectively adjacent wall sections or longitudinal edges by spacers and are connected thereto in a form-fitting manner by fasteners such as screws, rivets, or the like.

  • Patent number: 9080222
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing hardened profiles, in particular hardened open profiles, wherein the component is at least partly heated to above the austenitizing temperature of the base material and after heating the component is cooled at a rate above the critical hardening rate, the energy necessary for the heating being introduced at least partly by induction, wherein free edges are provided in the component to adjust a temperature or hardness gradient over the cross section of the component, the size, type and extension of the edges being set for a desired degree of hardness and/or hardness gradient.

  • Patent number: 8590353
Abstract: This invention pertains to a process for producing shaped components from high-strength and ultra high-strength steels with tensile strengths >780 MPa, wherein a steel sheet-metal strip is fed to a roll-forming installation and in the roll-forming installation is passed through roll stands and deformed by means of deformation rollers acting on the steel sheet, and wherein to avoid hydrogen embrittlement in plastically deformed regions of the deformed steel sheet-metal strip compressive stresses are introduced by stamping and/or upset-forging and/or overbending and bending-back or by machining the strip edges.
