  • Patent number: 6607901
Abstract: An enzyme isolated from an organism that metabolizes alpha-galactosyl containing saccharides, comprising an alpha-galactosidase (E.C. 3.2.1.22, alpha-D-galactoside galatohydrolase) with optimal activity in the neutral to alkaline pH range, and which hydrolyzes a variety of alpha-galactose containing saccharides, in particular raffinose. The enzyme is preferably a protein monomer and an ex-alpha-galactosidase.

  • Patent number: 4744470
Abstract: Apparatus for separating a mixture of agricultural products and stones including an impact element defining an impact surface, which element is operative to absorb appreciable kinetic energy from stones but to absorb a significanty lower amount of kinetic energy from agricultural products sought to be separated therefrom and apparatus for causing the mixture of agricultural products and stones to impinge on the impact surface.

  • Patent number: 4674490
Abstract: Apparatus for aerosol immunization of subjects such as day old chicks and the like including an aerosol exposure chamber having controlled humidity, apparatus for providing a precisely controlled spray of vaccine in the exposure chamber at a predetermined droplet median diameter and feed rate, apparatus for continuously supplying subjects, such as chicks and the like, to and removing them from the chamber for aerosol treatment, and apparatus for maintaining the relative humidity in the exposure chamber in the vicinity of 100% to prevent significant evaporation of water droplets containing the vaccine which could cause such droplets to shrink to within the respiration range of the subjects, thus harming them.
