Abstract: Polymerizable .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated carbonyl-functional silicone compositions are obtained from the reaction of thiol-functional organopolysiloxanes with an .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated carbonyl-functional compound having at least two acryloyl or methacryloyl groups or mixtures thereof per molecule in the presence of a base catalyst. The .alpha., .beta.-unsaturatured carbonyl-functional silicone compositions may be combined with a photosensitizer and/or a free radical generator and polymerized by radiation and/or heat.
Abstract: Heat curable organopolysiloxane compositions comprising an organopolysiloxane having Si-bonded aliphatically unsaturated groups, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having Si-bonded hydrogen atoms, a platinum catalyst capable of promoting the addition of Si-bonded hydrogen to Si-bonded aliphatically unsaturated groups and a hydrazone compound. The resultant composition is stable at room temperature, but when heated to an elevated temperature cures to an elastomer.
Abstract: An aqueous organopolysiloxane emulsion containing (1) hydroxyl-containing organopolysiloxanes, (2) organohydrogenpolysiloxanes, (3) a lubricant having a melting range of from 25.degree. to 80.degree. C., (4) a thickening agent, (5) a surfactant, and (6) water and an antifoam and bactericide, if desired, which may be used as a bladder lubricant for molding tires.
Abstract: A method for inhibiting corrosion of metal surfaces which comprises exposing the metal surfaces to an aminosilicon compound which is capable of hydrolyzing and releasing a volatile amine in the presence of atmospheric moisture.

Abstract: Quaternary ammonium-functional silicon compounds are prepared by reacting carboxylic acid-functional quaternary ammonium compounds with carbinol-functional silicon compounds. These quaternary ammonium-functional silicon compounds may be applied to textile materials to impart antistatic properties thereto.
