Abstract: Clothing for the upper half of a body is provided, which makes it possible to reduce distortions of the body and alleviate fatigue by simply wearing the clothing and leading a usual life. A distortion reducing portion formed with a plurality of strip portions exhibiting a constrictive power stronger than that of a main body cloth is provided. The distortion reducing portion comprises one pair of strip portion sets each having at least three strip portions aligned so as to incline in the same direction. The pair of strip portion sets are arranged symmetrically while intersecting each other. The clothing also has at least two surrounded portions surrounded by a plurality of strip portions. The structure provided with such a distortion reducing portion improves the activity balance between the spinal column and muscles of the wearer. This corrects distortions in the body of the wearer and reduces the difference in hardness of muscles between the right side and left side in the back part of the wearer.

Abstract: Provided are a curved tape capable of maintaining a curved shape without use of a wire, and cup-possessing women's clothing employing the curved tape. A curved tape 14 has a multi-ply woven fabric consisting of a plurality of textile weaves 71, 72 superposed in a thickness direction Z, and is curved in a width direction X, and the multi-ply woven fabric 70 is configured so that curve inside portions 71i, 72i have a higher elasticity than curve outside portions 71o, 72o. Since this configuration provides the curve inside portions 71i, 72i with the higher elasticity than that of the curve outside portions 71o, 72o, the tape is shaped in a curved state and the curved shape is maintained. For this reason, there is no need for maintaining the curved state by insertion of a wire as employed before, and the suitable curved tape 14 is substantialized so as to fit along an inferior edge of a cup portion. Furthermore, the curved tape can be manufactured without a work stage for insertion of a wire.

Abstract: An exercise garment according to which the exercise performance in various types of exercise accompanied by rotation of the trunk and movement of the arms can be sufficiently improved. The exercise garment includes first tightening portions exerting tightening forces on the scapulae and scapula-surrounding muscle groups, so that the scapulae and the scapula-surrounding muscle groups are supported such that the extent of mobility of the scapulae is broadened. The tightening force due to one of the first tightening portions is transmitted to the other first tightening portion via second tightening portions. As a result, movement of one scapula linked to the movement of the other scapula is promoted, and the extent of mobility of the scapulae is further broadened. Consequently, the flexibility around the shoulders during exercise in which the left and right shoulders are working together can be effectively increased.

Abstract: A warp knitted fabric having the isotropy of strength. The warp knitted fabric is provided with a fabric weave and insertion yarn groups (14, 16). The insertion yarn group (14) comprises four yarns (Y4a-Y4d) of the same type. The insertion yarn group (16) comprises four yarns (Y5a-Y5d) of the same type. The yarns (Y4a-Y4a Y5a-Y5d) are inserted into a warp-knitted fabric weave in the warp direction while being arranged parallel to each other at an interval of one wale in the weft direction. Each of the yarns (Y4a-Y4d, Y5a-Y5d) comprises a) portion (14a) extending as a whole in the direction crossing the warp direction, a portion (14b) extending as a whole in the direction crossing the warp direction, and a portion (14c) extending as a whole in the direction extending along the warp direction and connecting the portions (14a, 14b) to each other. One of the yarns (Y4a-Y4d) is overlapped with a corresponding one of the yarns (Y5a-Y5d) when viewed from the thickness direction.

Abstract: To provide an exercise garment with crotch part that is capable of sufficiently improving performance of various types of exercises accompanied by three-dimensional movements such as rotation of the trunk and rotation/outward rotation/inward rotation of both legs. In an exercise garment with crotch part, when it is being worn, tightening forces of first tightening portions act on the muscle groups existing around the greater trochanter, so that the muscle groups are supported to broaden the extent of mobility of the pelvic band. On the other hand, on the inside of the closed-loop first tightening portions, the space between a first line and a second line gradually becomes wider toward the greater trochanter position, whereby a side hole is formed. Due to such formation of the side hole, the greater trochanter of the wearer is prevented from being pressed directly by the first tightening portions.

Abstract: A pants garment has a pair of thigh leg members for covering the thigh area of a wearer. A front thigh elastic band member is provided substantially at a front side of each of the thigh leg members and extends obliquely from an upper front portion to a lower front portion of each thigh leg member. A back thigh elastic band member is provided substantially at a back side of each of the thigh leg members and extends obliquely from an upper back portion to a lower back portion of each thigh leg member. The garment also has a front and back crus elastic band members extending obliquely on crus leg members, which cover the crus areas of the wearer.

Abstract: According to the present girdle 1, when a wearer walks and a leg is moved backward, a forward load is applied to gluteus maximus muscle by a first tightening portion. Then, a reflective action of a muscle (muscle stimulation) to resist this load acts on the gluteus maximus muscle, and then the leg is moved further backward, resulting in a wearer's waist being twisted backward greatly. Further, a forward load is applied to elevated gluteus medius muscle by this backward waist twisting by a second tightening portion, resulting in the waist being twisted forward this time. Then, such a waist twisting motion is enhanced, which necessarily trains the wearer's groups of abdominal muscles, and a shape-up effect of the periphery of abdominal region may be obtained without the wearer performing intentional exercises.
