    Abstract: A method and system for evaluating the interior surface and exterior wall conditions of a pipeline while also dynamically installing a repair coating in a pipeline, such as an underground water pipeline. The system is towed into the pipeline and drawn back therethrough. As the system is drawn back, one module in the system evaluates the surface condition of the interior of the pipe and another module evaluates the structural condition of the wall of the pipe. Based on the evaluation data obtained from the two modules an epoxy material is applied to the interior surface of the pipe using a spin cast machine that is drawn behind the two modules. Preferably, a layer of epoxy is applied to the interior surface of the host pipe to the appropriate thickness based on the pipe condition as determined by the two modules.

Alternately, a self-curing compound includes a multi-part compound which, upon a mixing of the parts, chemically reacts and cures, and at least one dopant material dispersed into at least one of the parts, wherein the dopant material is selected for providing radiation shielding upon application of the compound.

The bag has a bottom, sides extending upwardly from the bottom and a operable panel at the top thereof to allow access to the interior of the bag. At least one wall of the bag includes a heater panel formed therein. More preferable more than one wall of the bag includes a heat panel therein. The panels are configured and arranged to impart heat to the interior of the bag while preferably being insulated about the exterior.

    Abstract: An improved cartridge structure that both heats the materials contained therein and provides for enhanced structure such that the bypass leaking of the low viscosity heated components is avoided. The cartridge is preferably formed from a rigid material such as reinforced fiberglass tubing. The wall of the cartridge is then wrapped in a flexible heating element or has a heating element cast directly in the wall thereof. The heating elements preferably heat the interior contents and epoxy cartridges to between 150 degrees and 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The wall structure may be of single wall construction with the heaters embedded therein or of a double wall construction such that the heaters are contained between an inner and outer wall. Further the wall construction is preferably formed to withstand the pressures applied when spray applying the epoxy contained therein to prevent the tube wall deformation and resulting blow by leakage.

    Abstract: A method for installing a liner in a large diameter pipeline. In accordance with the method, the interior surface of the pipeline to be repaired is prepared by removing excess debris and dirt. A repair composite is brought into the tunnel or pipeline in a dry state. Once the dry repair composite is laid out in the structure to be repaired the repair composite is folded out and saturated and wetted out with high pressure spray guns. The spray guns are employed within the structure and an appropriate resin material is applied as required to wet out the fiber material. A calibration bladder is inflated and holds the repair composite in place against the pipeline walls until the epoxy resin is fully cured. Once the process is complete, the bladder tube is retrieved out of the system leaving the repair composite as a stand-alone system.
