Patent number: 9500476Abstract: Generally, a linear position monitor including a rotatable member having a toothed periphery configured to directly rotatably engage a longitudinal linear portion of a spiral thread coupled to an elongate member whereby an amount of linear travel of the elongate member directly reversibly rotatably drives the rotatable member operationally coupled to a linear position indicator calibrated to translate rotation of the rotatable member about the rotation axis into an elongate member location value corresponding to a location of the elongate member in the amount of linear travel.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2013Date of Patent: November 22, 2016Assignee: Waterman Industries, LLCInventors: Kenneth W. Mikesell, Darryl Ray Pauls

Patent number: 4877352Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling an upstream water level by adjusting the elevation of a trough assembly of a weir. The weir is a open frame within which is slidably mounted a trough assembly, which may be raised or lowered by means of a tandem screw jack assembly, which caps the open frame. The perimeter of the open frame is lined with a continuous J-shaped neoprene seal, which provides a smooth slidable surface for movement of the trough assembly. The J-shaped seal also provides a substantially water tight barrier between the trough assembly and the open frame. Two vertical screw shafts extend downwardly from the tandem screw jack assembly and are bolted to the trough assembly. By rotating a hand crank, the vertical screw shafts raise or lower the trough assembly.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1989Date of Patent: October 31, 1989Assignee: Waterman Industries, Inc.Inventors: Gary M. Tuttle, Steven DeShaw

Patent number: 4600222Abstract: A polymer socket is secured to a metallic conduit by snapping a split polymer sleeve around the conduit with a flange on the sleeve engaged within a groove in the conduit, and then securing the sleeve against spreading. The securing function is provided by an annular insert bonded within the sleeve. A throughbore within the sleeve provides the socket.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1985Date of Patent: July 15, 1986Assignee: Waterman IndustriesInventor: Donald F. Appling
