Abstract: An apparatus for removal of the liner of a self-adhesive balancing weight is disclosed. A stripper wheel or stripper belt is rotated in close proximity over the surface of a balancing weight, and interacting with the liner and pulling the liner off from the balancing weight by means of a plurality of teeth. The speed of the stripper wheel or stripper belt is slightly higher than the speed of motion of the balancing weight.
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for dispensing vehicle balancing weights are disclosed. The dispenser comprises a plurality of transport units arranged below cartridges for storing and transporting balancing weights. The transport units move balancing weights from a selected section of the cartridges to two belt conveyors for further transporting the balancing weights to a handling device. Each transport unit comprises a feeder, whereas the feeders push selected balancing weights towards belt conveyors.
Abstract: A tray assembly for balancing weights is disclosed. The tray assembly has trays of different sizes adapted to different sizes of the balancing weights. This results in that the balancing weights are all positioned in the same height, and therefore can easily be picked up by a handling system. The size of the tray may automatically be adjusted by slides operated by actuators. The tray may be a horizontal rotating tray assembly which preferably has a conical form, thus allowing a plurality of handling systems, picking up balancing weights at the same time. This results in a significantly improved loading speed.
Abstract: A balancing weight for vehicle wheels, which has a weight body and an adhesive means for bonding the weight body to a rim of the vehicle, wherein the adhesive means is heatable by means of electromagnetic radiation.
