Patent number: 7775529Abstract: An independent adjustable axle suspension system for mounting a wheel to a frame of a trailer for transport of the trailer over a support surface. The axle suspension system includes a tower adapted to be attached to the frame and an axle unit adapted to receive the wheel. The tower is selectively moveable with respect to the axle unit along guide assemblies between extended and retracted positions to thereby selectively position the height of the frame with respect to the support surface.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2007Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Assignee: Wells Cargo, Inc.Inventor: James R. Patent number: 6663159Abstract: The present invention is directed to a mounting system and method of mounting at least one thermally dynamic sheet to at least one structure, which includes an elongated track affixed to the thermally dynamic sheet or the structure, and an elongated flexible mounting bracket affixed to the other of the thermally dynamic sheet or the structure. The elongated flexible mounting bracket has a foot portion adapted to slidably mount in the elongated track to provide sliding movement of the elongated flexible mounting bracket along a first axis of the thermally dynamic sheet or the structure. The system of the invention can accommodate thermal expansion/contraction in the first axis by movement of the foot in the track and in the direction transverse to the first axis by flexing of the flexible mounting bracket.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2001Date of Patent: December 16, 2003Assignee: Wells Cargo, Inc.Inventor: Jim Kinkaide

Patent number: 5487586Abstract: A frame for securing a wind deflector to a trailer includes a pair of vertically extending pivot tubes and brackets. The tubes include swing C washers which hook about a rod on each bracket. A pair of vertically extending support tubes is spaced apart by a pair of horizontal crossbars. The vertical pivot and support tubes are joined by upper and lower horizontal pivot tubes. The lower horizontal pivot tubes are spaced apart by an adjustable horizontal crossbar. Legs equipped with brackets extend from both ends of each vertical support tube. The wind deflector is secured to the frame by fasteners inserted in the brackets on the legs. In its lower position, the deflector is flush against the side of the trailer. The deflector may be raised to an intermediate position by pulling it away from the trailer, thereby swinging the horizontal pivot tubes outwardly with the vertical support tubes.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 1994Date of Patent: January 30, 1996Assignee: Wells Cargo, Inc.Inventor: James R. Patent number: 5273326Abstract: A door hold back for holding the cargo door of a vehicle in the open positon while the vehicle is being loaded and unloaded wherein a link having spherical end portions is connectable between a socket provided in a mounting plate on the vehicle wall and a socket provided in a receiver on the cargo door. The spherical end portion on one end of the link in the base plate socket is larger than the spherical end portion on the other end of the link in the receiver socket so that the larger spherical end portion of the link is captivated in the base plate socket, and the smaller spherical end portion is releasably mounted in the receiver socket. The link and associated spherical end portions, mounting plate and receiver are all molded of high impact polypropylene plastic.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 1991Date of Patent: December 28, 1993Assignee: Wells Cargo Inc.Inventor: James R.
