    Abstract: A method for producing rotationally symmetric structural components of metal, in particular steel, is provided. A blank is arranged in a torsion-proof manner on a first receptacle, the receptacle is rotated about a rotation axis so that the blank is caused to rotate about this rotation axis, at least one linear shaping element with a contour having at least partially an unrolled external contour of the rotationally symmetric structural component or a preform of the structural component is moved tangentially to the surface of the synchronously rotating blank, and the linear shaping element is at the same time pressed against the blank so that during the tangential movement the contour of the linear shaping element is formed at least partially into the blank. A kingpin or link pin of a connection link with a connection shaft and a link outer part is produced.

The steps include: providing a tube section having a first wall thickness and two end sides; leveling the first wall thickness starting from the two end sides over a defined rotationally-symmetrical area thereby forming two flanks by precontouring, each of the flanks having a second wall thickness, and pushing tolerance-caused excess material of the flanks into a well base zone between the two flanks; and contouring the flanks by pressure rolling while drawing each of the flanks toward an end area of each of the flanks and reducing the thickness of each of the flanks partially differently to predetermined measurements. The present disclosure also includes a device to implement the method.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a torsional vibration damper housing, especially the housing for a viscosity torsional vibration damper, whereby the damper housing is manufactured from an existing plate circular blank and the shaping of the damper housing occurs in an impact extrusion machine during a non-cutting impact extrusion shaping method. In successive impact extrusion shaping steps, all parts of the damper housing protruding from the plane of the plate circular blank, which forms the housing rear wall, are impact extruded while reducing the wall thickness of said parts to form a one-piece damper housing. Said damper housing is structured such that the area of the fastening flange has the largest thickness.
