Abstract: A hand tool (10) for capping or removing a cap from a container. The tool comprises a housing assembly (20) and a gearbox assembly (200) positioned within the housing assembly. The gearbox assembly includes a motor (42), a lead screw (70) rotated by the motor and a screw pusher (90) engaged by the lead screw and moved axially based on rotation of the lead screw. The gearbox assembly is adapted to engage a jaw set assembly (200) with the screw pusher operatively engaging a jaw set of the jaw set assembly.
Abstract: A vial including an end wall with a given perimeter, a side wall depending from the end wall about the given perimeter, and a plug wall depending from the end wall such that an outer surface of the plug wall is radially inward and spaced from the side wall. The plug wall has an attached end portion and a free end portion. The outer surface along the attached end portion of the plug wall is angled relative to the end wall by a first angle and the outer surface along the free end portion is angled relative to the outer surface along the attached end portion and extends at a second angle relative to the end wall with the second angle being larger than the first angle.

Abstract: A versatile compartmentalized cell culture device, with a selectively permeable membrane separating the compartments, provides many attributes relative to traditional devices. It can be configured for high-density cell culture, co-culture, and sample dialysis while rolling or standing still. It can also be configured for continuous movement of liquid between compartments. The wide combination of attributes not found in other membrane based cell culture and bioprocessing devices includes more cell capacity, more cell secreted product capacity, higher cell and product density, increased medium capacity, minimized use of exogenous growth factors, compatibility with standard cell culture equipment and protocols, increased scale up efficiency, capacity to function when rolling or standing still, capacity for perfusion without the need for pumps, and more efficient sample dialysis.

Abstract: A vial storage rack for storing vials having a base. The storage rack includes a support surface and support members positioned relative to the support surface to define a plurality of vial receptacles. Each vial receptacle is sized to receive and support a respective vial base. An opening is defined through the support surface in each vial receptacle. Each opening has a size smaller than the size of the vial base.
