Respective free surfaces each extend generally perpendicular to the plane from the cutting edges and meet at corners between the edges. The main cutting edges are usable for roughing and the auxiliary cutting edges for finishing. The insert is formed on the face along an entire length of and parallel to each of the cutting edge with a respective groove.
