  • Patent number: 10700450
Abstract: A connector secured to a coaxial cable having a conducting core. The connector includes a housing having a body having a central vertical axis and defining a chamber extending along the central vertical axis, a dielectric disposed in the chamber of the housing; and a signal contact disposed in the chamber of the housing and held by the dielectric. The signal contact includes a head having a top face and an opposite bottom face, a ferrule member projecting away from the top face of the head, and a pin projecting away from the bottom face of the head. The ferrule member includes a passage extending in a direction transverse to the central vertical axis, and the passage receives a terminating portion of the conducting core. The ferrule member is crimped to the terminating portion of the conducting core.

  • Patent number: 10684424
Abstract: An expanded beam optical connector includes a body, a tube holder, an alignment tube, and a collimator assembly. The tube holder is disposed within a bore of the body. The collimator assembly is received within the bore of the body and includes an optical fiber and a collimating lens having a collimated beam. A first end of the alignment tube is received within a first cavity of the tube holder, and the collimating lens is received within a second cavity of the tube holder such that the collimating lens is separated from the first end of the alignment tube by a gap and a centerline axis of the alignment tube is substantially aligned with an optical axis of the collimated beam.

  • Patent number: 10605996
Abstract: An expanded beam (EB) optical connector. In some embodiments, the EB optical connector includes: a rigid, hollow, straight contact tube having a centerline axis; and a collimator assembly having an optical axis and comprising an optical fiber and a collimating lens, wherein the centerline axis of the contact tube is at least substantially aligned with the optical axis such that collimated light produced by the lens from light exiting the fiber travels though the contact tube and the loss of light caused by misalignment of the axes is not more than 2 dB.
