Abstract: A water saving assembly for use in a water supply system, the assembly including: a storage chamber (12) adapted to be in fluid communication with a water conduit (14); a temperature sensor (26) for determining the temperature of water in the conduit; flow directing means (24); and a control device (32) for receiving input of the determined temperature from the temperature sensor and for controlling the flow directing means (24); wherein, under the control for the control device, the flow directing means is adapted to selectively either; (a) direct water in the conduit into the storage chamber when the sensor (26) has determined the water temperature to be below a predetermined temperature; or (b) inhibit water in the conduit from entering the storage chamber when the sensor (26) determined the temperature to be at or above the predetermined temperature.
