Abstract: A uretero-renoscope includes a shaft, on whose distal end an instrument head is arranged. The instrument head tapers continuously in the distal direction.
Abstract: A bendable portion, which is arranged at the distal end of an insertion tube of an endoscope, comprises a plurality of tube segments, each of said tube segments having connecting means that cooperate with the connecting means of the adjacent tube segment, as well as control wires that can control the bending of the bendable portion. The respective connecting means of a tube segment are provided such that they axially protrude from the faces of the tube segment and are located within the mantle of the tube segment and such that they do not exceed the thickness of the mantle. The connecting means, which are provided on the respective faces of adjacent tube segments and which are located opposite each other, complement each other in the manner of a hinge-type connection.

Abstract: An endoscope having an endoscope shaft is provided, which has an observation opening on its distal end, which is hermetically sealed using a transparent cover, and having an imaging optic, comprising multiple optic elements, which is situated inside the endoscope shaft in the area of its distal end spaced apart from the cover, a sealing ring being provided, which seals an area between the cover and the optic element of the imaging optic closest to the cover in relation to the remaining inner chamber of the endoscope shaft.
Abstract: A syringe for veterinary-medicine applications has a main body with a syringe cylinder whose discharge-side end is connected to a cannula and in which a piston connected to a piston rod is situated so it is displaceable. The syringe includes a protective module including protective cap and a securing element. The protective cap is mounted so it is displaceable on the main body, which receives the cannula in its first terminal position so that the front end thereof does not protrude from the protective cap. The securing element can be moved from a first securing position into a second securing position and then into a third securing position. The securing element releases a locking of the piston rod relative to displacements, so that the piston can be moved in the syringe cylinder in the direction toward the discharge-side end using the piston rod.
Abstract: An endoscopic instrument includes a shank which is bendable in at least one section and an endoscope head forming the distal end of the shank and in which the distal-side interfaces of the instrument are arranged. The endoscope head is bendable and is designed as one piece from an electroactive polymer. Electrodes are arranged in the endoscope head in the polymer, which may be subjected to electrical voltage.
Abstract: Local tissue areas should be thermally destroyed when using ultrasound thermotherapy. Traditionally, mono-frequency continuous wave ultrasound signals are used to this end. These lead to a non-optimal distribution of heat or to a non-optimal localization of the heating inside the tissue. In practice, the following dosage problem arises: the prevention of unwanted tissue damage in the tissue located in front of the target area while simultaneously having a sufficiently high damaging effect in the target area. The aim of the invention is to optimize the distribution of heat or to increase the localization of the heating. To these ends, modified transmitted signals (e.g. multi-frequency signals) are used that are adapted to a specific utilization of the non-linear ultrasound propagation and attenuation properties inside the tissue.

Abstract: An endoscope and shaft system include an access shaft and an endoscope which can be inserted into the access shaft, the proximal end of the access shaft has a grip part, and the endoscope is held in a connecting piece. The connecting piece can be detachably connected to the grip part, and the connecting piece can be rotated about the longitudinal axis of the endoscope relative to the grip part when the connecting piece is connected to the grip part.
Abstract: A stereo-endoscope is provided having a hollow shank with two axially parallel optical channels, which channels run through the hollow shank and respectively form at least a section of an image path to respective oculars of a binocular observation device arranged on the proximal end of the hollow shank. Moreover, the stereo-endoscope includes a camera connection, and one of the optical channels also forms at least one section of an image path to the camera connection.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner bag includes a bottom part having a substantially rectangular base section. A projecting section is disposed proximate to at least one side of the base section. The projecting section, when folded up for the storage position, rests on the base section. Sidewall sections extend peripherally in a direction away from the bottom part to form an inside space.
Abstract: A medical instrument has a handle arranged at the proximal end, a shank extending distally proceeding from the handle, and a movable jaw part arranged at the distal end of the shank. The shank is designed to be rigid and includes at least one proximal bend region and at least one distal bend region, in which the extension direction of the shank changes. A section of the shank in which the distal bend region is situated may be rotated about the longitudinal axis relative to a section of the shank in which the proximal bend region is situated. The jaw part is rotatable relative to the shank about its distal longitudinal axis at the distal end.

Abstract: An endoscopic instrument having a flexibly designed tube shank is provided in which the tube shank is formed of several tube sections connected to one another in an articulated manner. Two adjacent tube sections are respectively connected to one another, in additional to the articulated connection (6), via at least one connection web (18), which is resilient in the axial direction of the tube shank.
Abstract: An endoscope system includes a radiation source which emits a modulated radiation and is applied in a manner such that an object to be examined by an endoscope may be illuminated with the radiation. A sensor is provided for detecting the radiation reflected by the object, at least one picture point. An evaluation device obtains readings of the detected radiation from the sensor, determines phase differences on the basis of these readings, and computes the distance of the object to the sensor device on the basis of these phase differences. A corresponding supplementary module for an endoscope and endoscope optics with these features are also provided.
Abstract: A veterinary syringe comprises a base body for receiving a syringe barrel with a guiding element for a plunger rod that is guided therein so as to be movable in a longitudinal direction. At one end of the plunger rod, a plunger is attached that extends into the syringe barrel. The syringe further comprises a handle and an operating lever. The operating lever is connected to a guiding element that engages with a toothed rack associated with the plunger rod, and with a locking device for the plunger rod that engages with the toothed rack. The locking device acts as a locking slider disposed inside the guiding element and has an opening through which the plunger rod is guided and extends into the toothed rack from below, locking the toothed rack so as to prevent it from withdrawing.
