    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for reeving a hoisting cable of a crane, wherein the load to be transported can be suspended from a lower hook block (3), which is held by the hoisting cable (12), from single-loom to double-loom and from double-loom to triple-loom mode, in which an auxiliary cable and/or a chain are utilized such that the weight of the lower hook block causes the hoisting cable to be pulled around the respective roller.
