Patent number: 11727330Abstract: In response to receiving a text describing a news event, a centralized information provider applies semantic rules to the text to determine to which client attributes the text corresponds. The centralized information provider retrieves, from an electronic database, (i) identifiers for multiple clients, (ii) a set of client attributes for each of the clients, and (iii) for each of the clients, an identifier of a respective service provider. The centralized information provider then generates a metric of relevance of the news event for each of the clients, based on the client attributes of the client and the client attributes to which the text was determined to correspond. The centralized information provider transmits, to at least one service provider, an electronic alert message descriptive of the news event and an indication of a set of clients of the service provider for distribution to some or all of the set of clients.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2016Date of Patent: August 15, 2023Assignees: CCH AUSTRALIA LIMITED, WOLTERS KLUWER UNITED STATES INC.Inventors: Jane E. Lovell, William S. Flannery

Patent number: 9158535Abstract: A network-based application development and distribution platform allows application developers to build, modify, and configure dynamic content applications (especially mobile applications) remotely, and without requiring manual software coding. Smart endpoints facilitate creation of distributable applications for multiple operating systems, form factors, access methods, and/or device types, while creating only a single product and associating the product with the desired endpoints corresponding to the operating systems, form factors, access methods, and/or device types. The platform also facilitates software updates, as updates can be made to the product once, rather than once for each version of the application.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2013Date of Patent: October 13, 2015Assignee: WOLTERS KLUWER UNITED STATES INC.Inventors: Benjamin Gorelik, Arkady Katsnelson, Anthony Oliveri, Yauheni Padaliak

Publication number: 20150186132Abstract: Web application development system with an associated user interface framework and a set of tools for the creation, configuration, management, and deployment of web applications that may be based on application templates and controlled by configurable runtime attributes. User interface framework contains packaged set of libraries for rapid creation of web applications, including template applications with configuration points called configurable runtime attributes. Tools contain a wizard-style application for selection of configurable runtime attributes and a web-based resource manager for selection of configurable runtime attributes, management of application packs including internationalization and skin packs, in-place editing of web application elements, and web application deployment.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2013Publication date: July 2, 2015Applicant: WOLTERS KLUWER UNITED STATES INC.Inventors: Anthony Oliveri, Piotr Dulak, Sebastian Maleszewski, Adam Cuper, Pawel Majewski

Publication number: 20140188943Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for distributing content pursuant to audit-based processes. Audit content in runtime workpapers may be dynamically constructed in response to industry-driven and response-driven rules using information from one or more of the distributed content libraries. Dynamic updates may also be provided for generated runtime workpapers constructed from the distributed content. The system and method may also provide drilldown functionality for enabling a user to view a source workpaper for a specified data value which has flowed into the generated dynamic workpaper and/or tip functionality to provide a user with additional guidance based on the status and data associated with the generated workpaper.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 5, 2014Publication date: July 3, 2014Applicant: WOLTERS KLUWER UNITED STATES INC.Inventor: Glen Stewart Alfredson
