Abstract: A latching mechanism for a car seat that is mountable on a separable base member provides a positive locking of the car seat to the base member. The latch mechanism has a member that is positioned in the seat portion of the car seat to pivot upwardly when the latch mechanism is disengaged. The seating of a child on the seat portion requires the latch mechanism to be retracted into the seat portion, which corresponds to the locking of the latch mechanism. The latch mechanism includes four helical spools rotated by the pivotal movement of the latch lever to cause linear movement of the locking pins into engagement with the base member. A latch indicator has a pre-latch sensor that indicates proper positioning of the seat member and a latch sensor that indicates an engagement of the locking pins. An indicator light illuminates when the seat member is properly latched.

Abstract: An attachment system is formed into the seating structure of a juvenile product to allow the installation and removal of a harness belt having an occluding structure, such as a buckle or an orthogonal flap sewn at the end of the belt, without requiring access to the back side of the seating structure to manipulate the end portion of the belt. The attachment system includes a retainer slot having a height sufficient to permit the passage of the webbing material, and an access opening having a height that allows the passage of the occluding structure without forcing the occluding structure against the webbing material. The access opening is connected to the retainer slot by a narrow passageway that is located intermediate the ends of the retainer slot, but adjacent one end, to enable the manipulation an edge of the webbing material from the retainer slot into the narrow passageway.

Abstract: A play yard frame structure includes upper and lower horizontal frame members and vertical frame members with a fabric body that extends over the exterior of the frame structure. The fabric body has fastening tabs that extend from the corners of the fabric body corresponding to the vertical frame members to be passed through openings in the foot members for fastening to the foot members on a surface that is not on the exterior of the frame structure to provide a taut panel that extends around the lower perimeter of the play yard below the lower horizontal frame members. The bassinet structure includes a height adjustment feature that enables the floor surface of the bassinet structure to be positioned selectively at multiple height positions relative to the upper horizontal frame members. In one embodiment, the fabric walls of the bassinet include secondary frame tunnels for supporting the bassinet frame.

Abstract: The present invention provides a braking mechanism comprising a brake cable set, a spring, a connector, a pair of brake shoes, a brake band, a base, and a brake drum. The brake cable set makes the connector move downwards upon braking, such that the connector coupled to the pair of brake shoes rotates to contact the brake band and thus cause friction, whereby achieving the object of braking.

Abstract: A Single-hand height adjustment mechanism of a highchair includes an operating unit handled with a single hand, and a locking unit connected with the operating unit. The operating unit uses simple movement, such as handle pressing or button pulling, to pull adjustment wires. The adjustment wires then activate or release the locking unit. Therefore, the seat can be adjusted to higher or lower positions with the use of a single hand.

Abstract: A swivel locking device for stroller wheel, comprising: a seat, a wheel bearing assembly, a locking pin, a biasing member, and an operating member. The seat and the wheel bearing assembly are coupled so as to rotate with respect to each other. The locking pin may move between a first position where the seat is coupled to suppress rotation between the seat and the wheel bearing assembly and a second position where the seat is decoupled to allow the rotation between the seat and the wheel bearing assembly. Normally, the biasing member biases the locking pin to the first position. The operating member moves between a locked position and a unlocked position. Movement of the operating member toward the locked position causes the locking pin to move toward the first position. The movement of operating member toward the unlocked position causes the locking pin to move toward the second position.

Abstract: An actuating mechanism for a foldable stroller includes a mounting housing disposed on a handle tube of the foldable stroller, and a disk disposed in the mounting housing and connected rotatably to the handle tube. The disk has a notch, and a control lever extending outwardly of the mounting housing. Two cables are fastened to the disk at two diametrically opposed positions, respectively. The control lever is pushable in a lever-driving direction to rotate relative to the mounting housing to thereby move the cables. A safety latch is disposed in the mounting housing, and has an integral engagement member biased to engage the notch in the disk, and an integral pushbutton pushable in a pushbutton-driving direction opposite to the lever-driving direction so as to remove the engagement member from the notch in the disk, thereby allowing for folding of the foldable stroller.

The supporting member is convertible between a supporting state where the supporting member stands on the seat portion, and a retracted state where the supporting member is disposed under the seat portion.

Abstract: The playard includes a frame body and a bassinet detachably mounted on the frame body. An opening and a cover that covers onto the opening are configured at the bottom panel of the bassinet. When the cover opens relative to the opening, a folding device at the bottom of the frame body can be operated by a user's hand sticking into the opening for folding the playard to a smaller size without the need of removing the bassinet. A height adjustment device is further configured on the side panels of the bassinet for adjusting the height of the bassinet by selectively setting the bassinet in a first using state that has a shallow depth or in a second using state that has a deep depth.

The braking device comprises a first and second braking rods (20a, 20b), first and second braking pins (30a, 30b) and a braking pedal mechanism (40), the braking device being provided in a connecting tube (11) between two rear wheels (10a, 10b). When the brake pedal mechanism (40) rotates with respect to the connecting tube (11) in a direction, the braking rods (20a, 20b) move outward such that the outer ends (22a, 22b) of the braking rods (20a, 20b) are engaged with the rear wheels (10a, 10b) respectively, thereby completing the locking of the rear wheels (10a, 10b), and when the brake pedal mechanism (40) rotates with respect to the connecting tube (11) in another direction, the braking rods (20a, 20b) move inward such that the outer ends (22a, 22b) of the braking rods (20a, 20b) are disengaged from the rear wheels (10a, 10b) respectively, thereby completing the releasing of the rear wheels (10a, 10b).

Abstract: A seat position-adjusting device is used to connect adjustably a seat to a leg unit of a highchair, and includes a tube component, a slide seat and a locking unit. The tube component is sleeved on the leg unit, and is formed with positioning holes aligned along a tube axis. The slide seat is sleeved on the tube component, and is connected to the seat. The locking unit includes a latch disposed in the slide seat, pivoted to the slide seat, and pivotable between locking and unlocking positions to engage and disengage a selected positioning hole to thereby selectively lock and unlock the slide seat relative to the tube component.
