Abstract: Analog audio inputs are processed by a digital signal processor and rebroadcast over a local wireless network synchronous with a separate broadcast device or in real time with a live audio source. A software application on a portable computing device provides end-users the option to select from a plurality of audio source streams, cached translations of preprocessed audio streams and speech-to-text captioning. An embodiment of the invention relays wirelessly received digital audio streams converted from an analog source to the portable computing device then onto a hearing aid.
