Abstract: A composite including a first fabric layer having a water permeability W1 and adjacent to a second fabric layer having a water permeability W2, wherein W2 and W1 fulfill the relation W2<W1, and wherein the composite is folded to exhibit a folded structure, wherein the folded structure includes a plurality of folds. Furthermore, a greening system, a device for thermal insulation, a device for acoustic noise insulation and a multifunctional device for greening and/or thermal insulation and/or acoustic insulation including the composite described before.
Abstract: A pre-vegetated vegetation element for greening artificial or natural surfaces is provided which retains sufficient strength over a prolonged period of time and which is bio-compostable at the end of the lifetime of the vegetation element includes a three-dimensional entangled mat of extruded filaments having an open space of at least 50%, a two-dimensional material layer, oriented plane parallel to the three-dimensional entangled mat of extruded filaments and connected to the three-dimensional entangled mat of extruded filaments, wherein the three-dimensional entangled mat of extruded filaments is filled with a substrate and a vegetation is grown on it to form a pre-vegetated vegetation mat, wherein the three-dimensional entangled mat of extruded filaments and the two-dimensional material layer include synthetic polymeric material selected such that the pre-vegetated vegetation element is bio-compostable according to EN 13432.
Abstract: A vegetation element for greening artificial surfaces having low and/or high plants. The vegetation element has a support that can be penetrated by roots, a lower layer of compressed soil, and substrate as fertile ground for the low and/or high plants. The vegetation element can be peeled by machine and can be rolled up. In the vegetation element, a film that can be penetrated by roots is arranged on the layer of compressed soil, and the support is laid on the film. A substrate layer is arranged on the support, and plant material of the low and/or high plants that is capable of germination is introduced into the substrate layer. The forming roots of the low and/or high plants extend and are anchored in the substrate layer, extending through the support and the film and into the lower layer composed of compressed soil.
Abstract: A construction element covered with vegetation for horizontal, pitched and/or vertical surfaces of structures. The construction element has a lower base plate, which is embodied as an insulating board, and an upper vegetation layer with shorter and/or taller plants. A plant adhesive layer is arranged between the insulating board and the vegetation layer. A layer of a material that renders possible plant growth for shorter and/or taller plants is adhered on the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is embodied in a non-vapor retardant manner so that it is permeable for water vapor.
