Abstract: Methods and Systems for facilitating caching of advertisements are described. The methods include receiving an ad request and generating a serving plan in response to said receiving the ad request. The serving plan includes multiple cache lines that identify corresponding advertisements. Each of the cache lines is associated with a corresponding expiration. Also, each cache line is readable by logic to display one of the advertisements corresponding to the cache line. The cache lines include a first cache line. The first cache line includes ad information, which is associated with a first one of the advertisements. Moreover, the ad information includes one or more parameters for expiration of the first cache line of a client device. The client device is configured to display the plurality of advertisements. The method includes sending the serving plan to the client device to store in the client device.
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems directed to efficient cooling of data centers. Some embodiments of the invention allow encapsulation of cold rows through an enclosure and allow one or more fans to draw cold air from the cold row encapsulation structure to cool servers installed on the server racks. In other particular embodiments, the systems disclosed can be used to mix outside cool air into the cold row encapsulation structure to cool the servers. In some embodiments, the present invention involves fanless servers installed on the server racks and introduces fan units to draw cooling air from the cold row encapsulation structure through the fanless servers on the racks.
Abstract: Example methods, apparatuses, and articles of manufacture are disclosed that may be used to provide or otherwise support contract auctions for sponsored search advertising for use in auction management systems.
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed that relate to ranking functions for multiple different domains. By way of example but not limitation, ranking functions for multiple different domains may be trained based on inter-domain loss, and such ranking functions may be used to rank search results from multiple different domains so that they may be blended without normalizing relevancy scores.
Abstract: Exemplary methods and apparatuses are disclosed that may be used to provide or otherwise support ranking entity relations utilizing the vocabulary of at least one external corpus for use in search engine information management systems.
