Abstract: The disclosure relates to a multi-use adaptable hitch-mounted load support system. A vehicle rack system is disclosed, including a tongue portion configured to engage a hitch receiver behind a vehicle, and a lower crossbeam structure connected to the tongue portion. A lower end portion of a mast is connected to the lower crossbeam structure, and an upper crossbeam structure is connected to an upper end portion of the mast. A first pair of arms extend horizontally from the lower crossbeam structure, and a second pair of arms extend horizontally from the upper crossbeam structure. Each pair of arms is configured to support a recreational equipment carrier.

Abstract: A truck rack, including rack components and rack accessories, to support cargo over a bed of a truck, and methods of constructing, assembling, mounting, adjusting, and using the truck rack. An illustrative truck rack comprises a tower and a base. The tower may have a foot and an upper end portion. The upper end portion may be configured to support a crossbar. The base may be configured to mount the tower on an upper wall region of a truck bed. The base may include a deck on which to support the foot and at least one securing device to secure the foot on the deck. In some examples, the at least one securing device may include a clamp configured to engage opposite edge regions of the foot. In some examples, the clamp may be configured to urge the opposite edge regions downward toward the deck.

Abstract: A storage and conveying utility that is mountable to elements of a vehicle roof rack is disclosed. The utility includes a carrier having first and second parallel elongated slots formed therein and different walls thereof for mounting at either one or both of vertical and/or horizontals elements. In its embodiment for use in water storage, dispensing and conveyance a heating assembly is attachable thereto at the slots. A removable insulating cover assembly is provided.

Abstract: A bicycle carrier for securing a bicycle on top of a vehicle is disclosed, including a fork mount and a tail mount. The fork mount is configured to clamp a first crossbar of the vehicle, while the tail mount is configured to clamp a second crossbar of the vehicle. The fork mount includes a passage and a pair of inserts configured to be secured at opposing ends of the passage. A skewer is configured to protrude through apertures in a front fork of a bicycle, through the pair of inserts, and through the passage to secure the front fork to the fork mount.

The rack includes a tongue portion configured for attachment to a hitch receiver behind a vehicle, and a beam structure connected to the tongue portion. A bike mount is secured to the first beam structure by a clamp assembly, the clamp assembly having an open and a closed position. In the closed position the clamp assembly fixes the bike mount to the beam structure. In the open position the clamp assembly permits movement of the bike mount in a first direction and a second orthogonal direction.

Abstract: System, including apparatus and methods, for transporting cargo using a swing-away hitch adapter that mounts to a hitch of a vehicle and provides a movable hitch receiver for a cargo carrier, such as a rack for carrying bicycles. In some embodiments, the hitch adapter may comprise a fixed beam and a movable beam. The movable beam may be pivotally connected to the fixed beam at a first end and associated with a movable hitch receiver at a second end. A latch mechanism of the adapter may be configured to automatically lock the movable beam in an open position orthogonal to the fixed beam, to provide access to a rear of the vehicle, when the movable beam is pivoted about a pivot axis to the open position from a closed position parallel to the fixed beam.
