Patent number: 8320111Abstract: In a slide/rotation attachment unit (100) having a base plate (1) with first and second axis pins (10, 10a) being spaced from each other at a predetermined distance and a movable plate (2) with first and second hook-shaped portions (20, 20a) that can engage with the first and second axis pins, respectively, the base plate and the movable plate are joined together so that the base plate and the movable plate are rotatable relative to each other. When the movable plate rotates in one direction, the first hook-shaped portion is brought into engagement with the first axis pin, and the second hook-shaped portion is disengaged from the second axis pin. When the movable plate rotates in another direction, the second hook-shaped portion is brought into engagement with the second axis pin, and the first hook-shaped portion is disengaged from the first axis pin.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2009Date of Patent: November 27, 2012Assignees: NEC Corporation, Yamamoto Precision Co., Ltd., Techno Associe Co., Ltd.Inventors: Fumiyuki Kobayashi, Oh Tanaka

Publication number: 20070197268Abstract: A conventional horizontal axis portion is divided into two to have a triaxial structure including a vertical axis portion. Fixing these portions by a hinge main body enables stress and moment applied to each part to be reduced, resulting in realizing down-sizing of a biaxial hinge as a whole.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2005Publication date: August 23, 2007Applicants: NEC CORPORATION, TOYO BUSSAN CO., LTD., YAMAMOTO PRECISION CO., LTD.Inventors: Shigehiro Terada, Yuuichirou Kimura, Yoshihito Ishiguro, Akira Yamada

Patent number: 6609273Abstract: The present invention relates to a hinge providing a specified braking force against pivotal motion between two hinged flaps. The hinge includes a bearing body, which has, at its exterior, mountings for a first flap and also a wear-resistant inner surface having slider catches at positions spaced by a specified angle on the same circumference of the inner surface. The hinge also has a shaft with a mounting at one end for a second flap. The shaft is mounted in the bearing body in a manner allowing relative turning, and also has a spring housing hole opening at its outer surface along an axis crossing at a right angle with its longitudinal axis. While turning, a coil spring, which is inserted into the spring housing hole, biases a slider radially outward from the spring housing hole.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 2002Date of Patent: August 26, 2003Assignee: Yamamoto Precision Co., Ltd.Inventors: Akira Yamada, Yutaka Yoshigashima
