  • Patent number: 5013879
Abstract: A welding machine comprising a pair of tongs consisting of two electrodes (4',4", and adapted to spot-weld a longitudinal reinforcement rod (1) to a transversal reinforcement cross pin (2), while forming a mesh, at least one type of cross pin (2") having an attachment plate (3) tangentially arranged thereon. Between the welding tongs (4) and one or more magazines (15,20) containing cross pins (2',2"), a carrier (7) reciprocates which comprises an upwardly opening seat (13) adapted to receive a lying cross pin, and a stop member (14) serving, when the carrier reaches an end position where the cross pin is turned over to the welding tongs, to retain the attachment plate (3) in a repeatable, predetermined weld rotation position.

  • Patent number: 4667452
Abstract: A reinforcing unit for aerated concrete components. At least two spaced apart welded reinforcing mats are made up of longitudinally extending main bars and transversely extending crossbars, the crossbars being welded at their intersections with the main bars. The two mats are spaced apart from each other by connector bars which are bent into a C-shape from weldable steel bars, each connector bar having a pair of opposed legs and a spacer portion connecting those legs. The connector bars have openings to allow the passage of lifting rods. A device for forming the connector bars includes a straightening device, a device for adding small flags with holes therethrough, a bending device and a cutting device for cutting the bent connector bars and then a welding device for welding the connector bars to the mats.

  • Patent number: 4570443
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the operation of several autoclaves of an autoclave battery in which steam is carried in the circuit, whereby at least part of the steam carried in the circuit is brought to a higher pressure-temperature level from a relatively lower pressure-temperature level by means of a mechanically driven compressor, e.g., a turbocompressor, piston compressor or screw compressor without live steam supply. The invention also concerns an apparatus consisting of an autoclave battery in which steam is carried in the circuit in lines with shut-off valves, characterized by at least one compressor in the steam circulatory system.

  • Patent number: 4503096
Abstract: Method and device for the continuous application of a layering mass on boards, whereby a rotating application roller and a rotating smoothing roller located directly behind the application roller in the direction of transport of the boards are used which can be separately driven and adjusted in height, a transport means for the boards is located under the rollers, and a scraper is associated with the smoothing roller. The layering mass is applied to the boards with the application roller and smoothed with the smoothing roller, which rotates counter to the direction of transport of the boards. The layering mass is a mineral fresh mortar which is applied to the boards in the area of the lower gusset between the rollers. The application roller rotates counter to the direction of transport of the boards.
