  • Patent number: 6332756
Abstract: The multi-functional motion converting unit can be compact, efficient and inexpensive. In the motion converting unit of the present invention, a holding member is provided in a plane. A swing fin is extended, from the holding member, in a direction perpendicular to the plane. The swing fin has a first face and a second face, which cross a swing direction of the swing fin. The faces are capable of guiding a flow of a fluid. A swing width of a free end of the swing fin is wider than that of a base end thereof when the holding member is moved in the direction parallel to the plane. Guiding means guides the movement of the swing fin with the holding member.

  • Patent number: 6144417
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a screen frame, which is capable of producing clear 3-D video images with a simple structure. The screen frame includes: a frame structure being capable of covering over a screen of a display unit at a prescribed distance away from the screen. Furthermore, the frame structure encloses a window space, whose size is smaller than the size of the screen of the display unit so as to cover parts of the display unit other than the screen. By attaching the screen frame of the present invention, which has a simple structure, to a screen of a display unit, video images on the screen have visual depth, so the user is hallucinated as if he or she is really watching an outdoor scene through a window. Furthermore, the video images on the screen can be made clear by removing influence of external light.

  • Patent number: 5983845
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a rotary drive system and an engine which have greater toughness and which are capable of smoothly converting linear thrust force into rotary torque. In the present invention, a pair of elongated members are arranged parallel in a first direction. A moving guide is spanned between the elongated members, arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and capable of moving in the first direction. A moving body is capable of moving in the second direction along the moving guide. A rotary shaft is capable of rotating about an axial line, which is perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. A lever has one part, which is pivotably connected with the moving body, and another part, which is fixed to the rotary shaft, whereby the lever rotates the rotary shaft when the moving body moves round. A driving mechanism moves the moving guide in the first direction. A control mechanism stabilizes rotational speed of the rotary shaft.

  • Patent number: 5704864
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a drive unit including a movable gear section having a first pinion gear and a second pinion gear, which are coaxially integrated. A driving mechanism is provided for spinably moving the movable gear section in a circular orbit. A fixed ring gear is coaxial arranged relative to the circular orbit, the fixed ring gear having a first gear section, formed on a circumferential face, wherein the first pinion gear is engaged with the first gear section, and wherein the movable gear section is spun when the movable gear section is moved in the circular orbit. An output ring gear is coaxial positioned relative to the fixed ring gear and is capable of rotating with respect thereto. The output ring gear includes a second gear section, formed on a circumferential face, wherein the second pinion gear is engaged with the second gear section, and wherein the output ring gear is rotated when the movable gear section is spun.
