    Abstract: Introduced here is at least one technique to better estimate interference at a receiver. The technique includes receiving a plurality of reference signals, which each have information indicative of noise. Thus, the technique further includes, for each reference signal, determining a noise estimation and determining a distance metric and log-likelihood ratio (LLR) of the noise estimation. Once the distance metric and LLR of each reference signal is determined, the receiver can determine a final LLR based on the distance metric and LLR of each reference signal. In this manner, a final LLR is determined. This technique can be applied by any device operating on MIMO technology.

The baseband chip may be configured to determine a first path metric based at least in part on the first iteration of the recursive tree search operation. The baseband chip may be configured to select a second anchor point from the second constellation points of the second transmission layer. The second anchor point may be associated with a second iteration of the recursive tree search.

    Abstract: Embodiments of apparatus and method for transition smoothing implementation on a stream of data are disclosed. In an example, a system on chip (SoC) for wireless communication includes a digital front-end. The digital front-end is configured to obtain a stream of data having one carrier or multi-carriers. The stream of data is divided into a plurality of blocks. The digital front-end is also configured to adjust a gain of the stream of data based on a predetermined frequency corresponding to a length of each of the plurality of blocks. The digital front-end is also configured to append a ramp-down tail sequence to a first block of the stream of data after a last sample of the first block, and generate a ramp-up head sequence for a second block immediately after the first block, based on a head sequence of the second block.

    Abstract: Embodiments of apparatus and method for calibration of a transceiver (including a transmitter and a receiver) are disclosed. In an example, a method for transmitter quadrature (or IQ) mismatch and receiver quadrature (or IQ) mismatch calibration can include controlling the transmitter to send a first transmit signal to the receiver with a delay between an output of the transmitter and an input of the receiver. The method can also include controlling the transmitter to send a second transmit signal to the receiver without the delay between the output of the transmitter and the input of the receiver. The method can further include obtaining compensation coefficients of the transceiver based on the sending of the first transmit signal and the sending of the second transmit signal.
