  • Patent number: 4624377
Abstract: A child resistant closure for bottles is provided that permit closure withdrawal by exerting an axial force and a simultaneous rotating movement. For this purpose, a clutch is provided between an inner cap and an outer cap of the closure with at least one elastic flexible clutch element which is ineffective in its rest position and which is deformable upon application of an axial downward force. In this manner, a sufficient friction lock is generated between the two caps, so that the outer cap takes along the inner cap during screwing on and unscrewing off. In the absence of the axial force the outer cap will slide over and not turn the inner cap.

  • Patent number: 4615462
Abstract: A unitary snap hinge made of plastic with two hinge parts which are connected with each other by means of a main joint. A flexible connecting piece is connected with the hinge parts by means of secondary joints, whereby the secondary joints have a distance from the main joint transverse to the joint axis and that the joints are designed as film joints. The hinge parts have the tendency to snap into the one or other end position from a position of an unsteady balance within their own pivot range. The snap hinge is a separate structural element. The one hinge part supports a locking element for a removal opening, the other hinge part supports at least one adapter piece with arresting elements. Thereby, the snap hinge can be mounted on a container or on the locking piece of the same.

  • Patent number: 4562931
Abstract: The invention concerns an original-seal closure means made of plastic and for threaded mouths at containers, in particular bottles. The closure means includes a screw cap to which a hood is fastened with axial play. Studs are present at both the hood and the screw cap, which can be engaged and disengaged within the said axial play and which act as drive means. To secure the original seal, the screw cap is provided with tear-off elements which engage by means of claws underneath the retainer lip. When the mouth is sealed, the claws are held in this position by the hood. When the closure is opened the first time, the tear-off elements are perforce torn off. In additional child-proof design, a set of studs is designed in such a manner that they shall always act as drive means during the screwing shut process while they shall act thusly during unscrewing only if in addition to the torque an axial force is exerted toward the mouth.

  • Patent number: 4240604
Abstract: A holding device which serves as a multipurpose clamp in the household, in workshops etc., for the releasable holding of objects on walls, pieces of furniture and similar objects, as well as for holding of opened or closed doors. The holding device should be capable of being made from plastic, so it could be moved by a snapping process from the closed to the opened state and vice versa, and it should be developed such, that no phenomena of fatigue of the plastic material could occur, although considerable forces oppose a removal of the supported objects. For this purpose, the holding device has a bent or angular bending spring (10) and gripping parts (22, 26) which are interconnected by film-hinges (12, 13, 18) and, to be sure, in such a way that sections of the gripping parts, in the closing position, fit into the bending spring. See for this FIGS. 1 and 1a.
