    Abstract: Security systems are warned of earthquakes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters. When an early warning system detects a natural disaster, the early warning system alerts a central server. The early warning system alerts the central server to the natural event and its associated geographic area. The central server may then consult a database and determine the security systems operating in a vicinity of the geographic area experiencing the natural event. The central server may thus warn the security systems of the natural event. The security systems may then implement pre-programmed procedures to protect life and property during earthquakes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters.

    Abstract: A system for automatic reconciliation of data throughput is disclosed. In particular, the system may include automatically and repetitively measuring the available upload and download throughput that a user of an internet service provider statistically receives through the course of a selected period of time. The system jointly monitors the user's data usage volume over time and automatically determines if the user is subscribing for throughput that the user is not receiving at the times that the user is using his or her subscribed service. If the system determines that the user is subscribing for throughput that the user is not receiving, the system may perform a variety of corrective actions. Such corrective actions may include reducing the subscribed for throughput, transmitting a notification to the user to modify the subscribed service, or increasing the subscribed for throughput to improve the user's experience with the internet service provider.

The system may then utilize the determined attributes, call records, demographic information pertaining to account owners, real time call attribute assessment systems, regression analyses, and various types of information to direct the calls from the interactive voice response system to an optimal agent for handling. Notably, the system may direct the calls to those agents that have a higher probability of successful interaction with the calling parties so as to reduce follow-up calls, which may be costly to the entity receiving the calls. A subset of the calls may be directed to agents at random so as to facilitate the collection of unbiased information.

    Abstract: A network is disclosed that includes a message originator computer and a message recipient computer, for secure electronic mail delivery. In accordance with the invention, the network includes a message delivery server that can distinguish between real and phantom messages. In operation, the message originator computer waits a random time and then transmits a first encrypted phantom message to the message delivery server. This message is to spoof an eavesdropper into believing that there is a steady stream of messages being sent from the originator computer.
