  • Patent number: 8055997
Abstract: A system and method is provided for implementing a dynamic form using file data retrieved from an external file source. An application executing on a server computer is responsive to a form request received from a user system computer to transform the retrieved file data into a format that includes new input elements. Unique namespaces are assigned to each of the new input elements, and the requested form and transformed file data are transmitted to the user system. The application is configured to create new XML file data that is mapped to the original XML file data in response to a user of the user system inputting data into the form. The new XML file data is compared to the original XML file data to identify missing elements. Missing elements are inserted into the new XML file data, and the new XML file data is stored in a memory.

  • Patent number: 4693649
Abstract: An apparatus and method for imparting a sharp, defect-free outside corner of a desired angle to a metal workpiece are disclosed. The apparatus comprises two separate cutting tools, each with a distinct cutting direction. The tools are juxtaposed such that their leading surfaces are adjacent to each other and that their respective cutting edges intersect at the desired angle. This provides that the cutting directions of each tool are opposite one another. In using the improved cutting apparatus, the workpiece is secured and the apparatus must be movable along the x, y and z axes. By cutting the first and second surfaces of the workpiece in sequence with the first and second cutting edges of the present apparatus respectively, a sharp defect-free corner of the desired angle can be imparted to the workpiece. A specific application for the present invention is in the fabrication of intricate copper products, such as heatsinks for semiconductor devices.

  • Patent number: 4687384
Abstract: A hand tapping device has a driving rod at one end provided with a handle and a chuck at the other end for holding a tap. A housing located between the rod and chuck is attached at one end to the rod for axial movement and at the other end to the chuck. A sleeve attached to the rod provides a guide for axial movement of the housing in response to rotation of the rod to effect cutting threads by the tap as the housing expands from the rod and sleeve with a progressively reducing force exerted by a spring located within the housing. At the same time, a graduated scale on the outer surface of the housing indicates the distance the housing moves outwardly from the sleeve and the corresponding depth of the tapped threads.

  • Patent number: 4655464
Abstract: In a drill chuck for securing the shank of a tool in a hand-held device, clamping jaws are mounted in a chuck member and bear radially outwardly against the conically shaped surface in a first sleeve into which the tool shank is inserted. A second sleeve is connected to the first sleeve and is threaded engagement with the chuck member. A locking or third sleeve is located about the first and second sleeves. The third sleeve is axially displaceable between a first position and a second position. In the first position the third sleeve engages the first and second sleeves so that the second sleeve cannot be rotated relative to the first sleeve or the chuck member and the tool shank can be locked by the clamping jaws. When the third sleeve is displaced into the second position, the second sleeve is released and can be rotated relative to the chuck member for axially displacing the first sleeve relative to the chuck member and adjusting the radial position of the clamping jaws.

  • Patent number: 4644633
Abstract: An axial lead forming machine is presented which is capable of trimming, shaping, and electrically verifying the characteristics of axial components under computer control. Two die cutting and bending assemblies are incrementally moved horizontally over the wire leads of an axial component, which is suspended between them. A set of counters, lead screws, and two electric motors initially hold the two die assemblies in a known position defined as a "home" location. By correlating the number of leads per inch on the lead screws and counting the number of rotations of the electric motor, the lead forming mechanism is capable of communicating to a computer the exact location of the hammer, anvil and cutting edge of the die assemblies so that a programmable setting of the trimming and shaping of the axial leads may be accomplished automatically under computer direction.

  • Patent number: 4626144
Abstract: A boring tool with interchangeable tool bit holders is equipped with weight balancing members pivotable about a common fulcrum located on the rotation axis of the fine boring head. The weight balancing members are in the form of circular segments. They are pivoted from their given position about the common fulcrum by means of pull cords fixed thereto. In principle, each pull cord is fixed to each weight balancing member. Thus, a first pull cord fixed to one side of two weight balancing members is guided about a first guide bolt and a second pull cord fixed to the other side of the two weight balancing members is guided about a second guide bolt.
