Abstract: A transaction is maintained in a shopping cart and processed by a transaction manager in cooperation with a transaction application of a user device. The status device displays a code that when obtained by user device and provided to the transaction manager links the cart to the status device. Acquisition of the code is an indication that the customer associated with the cart is ready to checkout and pay for the items in the cart. The entire payment processing between the application, the transaction manager, and a payment service is monitored by transaction manager. Payment processing statuses for the payment as it processes in real time are sent from the transaction manager to the status device. Status device displays payment status messages on a display of that device and/or illuminates colored lights and/or plays specialized audible sounds indicative of the statuses as the payment processing continues in real time.

Abstract: A POS terminal for fulfilling orders includes a state processor and an order processor. The state processor queues state changes in durable order queues that correspond to orders in a restaurant. The order processor, coupled to the state processor, generates the state changes and accesses and transmits the state changes in each of the durable order queues to a synchronization server, from oldest to youngest, when operably connected to a network, where the order processor includes current order state fields corresponding to all of the orders, and where the order processor utilizes domain specific rules disposed therein to resolve conflicts in the orders occurring from state change updates received from the synchronization server which result from other state changes to the one or more orders generated by one or more other POS terminals, where one or more of the orders are received from a third-party terminal that is not on-premise with the POS terminal.

Abstract: A point-of-sale terminal for fulfilling orders under non-persistent network conditions is provided. The terminal includes a state processor and an order processor. Abstract: A distributed computer system includes a central server, a computing device of a user, and point-of-sale terminals. The central server is configured to assign a global user ID to a user and store, in association with the global user ID, local user IDs. The computing device is configured to generate and display a code symbol representing at least one user ID. A point-of-sale terminal is configured to scan the displayed code symbol and code symbols of merchandise being purchased, and generate transaction information. A local server is configured to transfer the transaction information from the point-of-sale terminal to the central server. When the transaction information includes a local user ID, a point total of the user is updated based on the transaction information and transmitted to the computing device. The central server stores the transaction information, which is received from the local server, in association with the global user ID.

Abstract: Upon selection of a product selection icon on a user interface of a beverage vendor, a price per amount of the product is displayed to clearly depict product costs while also providing flexibility for having products of different price points. After selection of the product and upon successful payment validation, a dispensing gauge displays an amount of product dispensed and total current cost of a dispensing session at a location of the product selection icon. A selectable dispense icon is provided upon the successful payment to facilitate dispensing the selected product and a product icon is provided proximate to the selectable dispense icon. Within the dispensing session, upon selection of a second product selection icon, the dispensing gauge moves to the second product selection icon and accumulates additional cost for the transaction based on a cost per amount of a second product associated with the second product selection icon.

Abstract: A media terminal includes two integrated currency devices, each device providing at least one feature/operation that is similar to or is the same as the other device. Two independent sessions to each device are made and presented to a transaction application of the terminal as a single aggregated session. When the transaction application issues a command through the single aggregated session, a decision is made that is transparent to the application as to which device should process the command on behalf of the application and the command is issued to the selected device over the corresponding independent session. Results or notifications provided by the selected device are aggregated and provided to the application over the single aggregated session. In an embodiment, the two integrated currency devices are different types of devices from one another.

Abstract: Sensor data from load cells at a shelf is processed using a first time window to produce first event data describing coarse and sub-events. Location data is determined that indicates where on the shelf weight changes occurred at particular times. Hypotheses are generated using information about where items are stowed, weights of those of items, type of event, and the location data. If confidence values of these hypotheses are below a threshold value, second event data is determined by merging adjacent sub-events. This second event data is then used to determine second hypotheses which are then assessed. A hypothesis with a high confidence value is used to generate interaction data indicative of picks or places of particular quantities of particular types of items from the shelf.

Abstract: In order to process a mobile transaction offline, a user terminal transmits a mobile transaction code and a merchant terminal ID to a payment information transmission server and the payment information transmission server transmits a payment information message including the mobile transaction code to a merchant terminal, so that it is possible to process mobile transactions through a unified user interface despite different payment plans of various payment service providers.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method to allow sellers of products to establish individual products in a multilevel marketing (MLM) commission system, where the product is offered and sold to a first purchaser—who then actively by requesting a code, or passively, through the purchase of the product, becomes a user of the commission system. This user is provided a code such that the code may be passed onto followers of the registered user. The registered user will be allowed to advertise the product to a second purchaser and the second purchaser will be allowed to purchase the product and provide advertisements to other purchasers. Commissions paid to respective downline purchasers for a single product may be limited by a preset number of defined levels. After a product is purchased, commissions are paid out to each respective purchaser according to the commission plan assigned to the user. Users may be assigned or may be able to select their own commission plan.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating graphical elements in a user interface are shown according to various embodiments. Various plant designs may be simulated under scenario conditions to predict energy usage and cost. A user may indicate to perform an economic feasibility analysis for one or more simulated plant designs. Financial performance data may be generated for the one or more plant designs according to one or more analysis parameters. Financial performance data may be a Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, or Payback period. A graphical element may be generated in a user interface to present the generated financial performance data. Financial performance data may be compared to threshold values to determine if the plant design is acceptable. Financial performance data can be compared for different plant designs to choose the optimal plant design.

Abstract: An electronic receipt system may generate electronic documents including receipt content associated with a transaction between an account holder and a third party, and automatically link the electronic documents to secure records corresponding to account transaction records in a secure database. An account holder may subsequently view an electronic document including the receipt from a secure network platform displaying the secure records for multiple transactions in the account. In some aspects, the electronic receipt system may retrieve the receipt from an email message transmitted to an email address assigned to the account holder by the electronic receipt system. In other aspects, the electronic receipt may be retrieved using an application on a user device corresponding to the electronic receipt system.

Abstract: An example transaction analysis platform is described herein. The transaction analysis platform may analyze an audio signal to determine whether a user is associated with a transaction. The transaction analysis platform may determine that a tone of the audio signal is a transaction tone associated with the transaction. The transaction analysis platform may process, based on detecting the transaction tone, the audio signal to identify a set of tones associated with the transaction. The transaction analysis platform may generate, based on a quantity of the set of tones, transaction information associated with the transaction, wherein the transaction information identifies a quantity of items associated with the transaction, wherein the quantity of items corresponds to the quantity of the set of tones. The transaction analysis platform may perform an action associated with the transaction information and a transaction account of the user.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described. A method includes accessing transaction data related to restaurants associated with a plurality of geographically separate locations, determining a number of co-visitors shared by each of the restaurants associated with the plurality of geographically separate locations above a predetermined threshold, generating a graphical representation of the plurality of restaurants based on the number of the co-visitors shared by restaurants with the co-visitors above the predetermined threshold and the distance between the restaurants with the co-visitors. The graphical representation is transformed into restaurant embeddings and a neural network model is used to generate restaurant preferences based on the restaurant embeddings.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for authenticating mobile payments from a customer account to a merchant. The systems and methods may include a financial service provider receiving a request to authorize an electronic transaction at a point-of-sale. A financial service provider server computer may verify that the customer is present at the point-of-sale using received location data. An image having distorted text such as a captcha may be transmitted to a device at the point-of-sale, and the customer may read the captcha aloud. A voice sample of the customer may be sent to the financial service provider for comparison to stored voice recordings, to verify that the customer's voice sample is authentic if the voice matches a previously generated voice recording for the account. If the voice sample is authentic, the financial service provider may authorize the mobile payment.
