    Abstract: A fuel line connector assembly that includes a connector, collar, and insert. The connector has a first interconnector, and the collar has a second interconnector and is constructed for attachment to a conduit of a fuel line assembly. The connector, collar, and insert are connectable together such that the first interconnector of the connector and the second interconnector of the collar engage each other along a generally axial direction and secure the connector and collar together. The insert has a keeper and, upon circumferential rotation of the insert, the keeper interacts with the first and second interconnectors and holds their engagement and maintains securement between the connector and collar. A cover having one or more actuating buttons fits over the collar and insert to enable disengagement of the insert and collar so the insert can be rotated to permit disconnection of the collar from the connector.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for mechanically attached connections of conduits may include a conduit gripping member, a drive member, and a seal member, the drive member causing axial movement of the conduit gripping member to indent into an outer surface of the conduit when the assembly is pulled-up, the drive member causing the seal member to form a zero clearance seal at a location that is axially spaced from the conduit gripping member. The zero clearance seal may comprise a face seal arrangement including a gasket, and the conduit gripping member may be a ferrule, ring or other device that can grip and optionally seal against the conduit outer surface. The assembly may include a sensing function for detecting or sensing a characteristic or condition of an assembly component or the fluid or both. In one embodiment, a body coupling member has a two piece construction of a main body and a conduit socket insert. A flared fitting embodiment is also provided.

    Abstract: A coupling for securing pipe elements together in end-to-end relation has segments joined at one end by a pivot attachment and at an opposite end by an adjustable connection member. The segments surround a central space which receives the pipe elements. A gripping body is captured between the segments. The segments have angularly oriented reaction surfaces. The gripping body has angularly oriented contact surfaces which interface with the reaction surfaces. When the segments are drawn toward each other by the connection members, interaction between the reaction surfaces and the contact surfaces forces the gripping body radially inwardly. Inwardly facing arcuate surfaces on the segments and the gripping body engage and retain the pipe elements. A method of inserting pipe elements into the coupling while the segments and the gripping body are supported on a seal is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A liquid-tight connector includes a threaded body, a finger/gland assembly within an annular pocket within the body, and a compression nut that engages a first threaded portion of the body. The finger/gland assembly includes a plurality of fingers attached to a sealing gland in an annular, collet-type fashion. The sealing gland and the fingers may be integral with one another. The sealing gland and the fingers may be co-molded with one another. Tightening the compression nut on the threaded body causes the compression nut to engage the fingers of the finger/gland assembly and bias the fingers toward each other. Such biasing causes the fingers to move inward and compress the sealing gland so that it forms a liquid-tight seal around the entire circumference of a cable within the body of the connector.
