Abstract: Multi-lumen catheters with improved tip configurations, including a triple-lumen catheter which may be useful for apheresis. In one variation, the catheter has three lumens with distal openings angularly spaced apart and staggered axially with respect to one another. In another variation, the catheter has two lumens exiting distally and one centrally positioned lumen exiting proximally. A third variation is a catheter with a single distal opening and two proximal openings. The staggered lumen openings along the axial length of the catheter may decrease recirculation while maximizing flow rates.

Abstract: A pressure isolation mechanism for use in a medical procedure includes a lumen, an isolation port in fluid connection with lumen, and a valve having a first state and a second state. The first state occurs when the lumen and the isolation port are connected. The second state occurs when the lumen and the isolation port are disconnected. The lumen remains open for flow of fluid therethrough in the first state and in the second state. The valve is normally in the first state and is switchable to the second state when fluid pressure in the lumen reaches a predetermined pressure level. A pressure transducer can be in fluid connection with the isolation port of the pressure isolation mechanism A fluid delivery system includes a manually operated syringe and a pressure isolation mechanism as described above.

Abstract: A card dealing shoe with card reading capability for facilitating play of card games includes a control system configured to detect the existence of an alarm condition and a card restraining apparatus mounted on the elongated housing and configured for alternating between a non-restraining condition and a restraining condition, wherein the restraining condition includes activation of a physical restraint that prevents cards from being added to and removed from the card receiving or staging area in the card dealing shoe, wherein the card restraining apparatus is in communication with the control system and actuated from the non-restraining condition to the restraining condition responsive to the detection of an alarm condition.

Abstract: A system for launching a toy projectile from a clip connector. The toy projectile has elongated arm elements and elongated leg elements. The toy projectile is launched from a clip connector launcher. The clip connector launcher has a housing with a top opening, side openings, and an internal divider. The elongated arm elements and the elongated leg elements from the toy projectile are inserted into the top opening of the clip connector housing. The elongated arm elements mechanically interlock with the side openings in the clip connector housing when in a fully engaged position. The leg elements are spread by the divider within the clip connector housing when in the fully engaged position. The elongated arm elements and the elongated leg elements store spring energy that releases to accelerate the toy character out and away from the clip connector housing.

Abstract: A golf club head includes a forward section and a body section. The forward section has a strike face, a frame that surrounds the strike face, and a flange extending from the frame. The body section is formed from a molded polymeric material, and includes a forward edge that defines a receiving portion adapted to receive the flange. When assembled, the flange extends within the receiving portion and the body section is adhered to opposing sides of the flange.

Abstract: A surgical access port or trocar is provided. The trocar has a trocar seal housing and a trocar cannula with an optical obturator insertable through the trocar seal housing and the trocar cannula. The trocar is configured to access a body cavity, to maintain positive pressure and to prevent loss of surgical insufflation gas used in laparoscopic procedures. The trocar seal housing can be releasably attached to the trocar cannula. The trocar seal housing may also have a shield and/or alignment channel that provide protection or assist in operation of instrument and zero seals housed in the trocar seal housing.

Abstract: A toy construction system comprising toy construction elements, the toy construction elements comprising coupling means for releasably interconnecting the toy construction elements, comprising one or more marker construction elements comprising such coupling means and each having a visual appearance recognizable by an image processing means, and a data processing system comprising image capturing means, image processing means, and display means, wherein the data processing system is adapted to capture an image of a toy construction model constructed from the toy construction elements, to process the captured image to detect at least a presence of at least one of the marker construction elements within the captured image; responsive to the detected marker construction element, to generate a computer-generated image; and to display on said display means a composite image comprising the captured image having superimposed the generated computer-generated image.

Abstract: A device for inserting at least one hollow needle for the injection or withdrawal of a solution into/from a tissue, said device comprising a casing (1), a plunger (2) movably mounted inside the casing, and propulsion means (3 and 4) suitable for driving the plunger towards the distal end (1a) of the device by applying a force F1(t). The propulsion means and/or the plunger comprise retaining means (3a) for joining the propulsion means and the plunger while the latter is moving, said retaining means releasing the plunger from the propulsion means when a force F2(t) is exerted in the opposite direction to F1(t). Pressure means hold the needle in the tissue and allow a controlled withdrawal of the plunger at least while the solution is being injected.

Abstract: The present invention provides shuffled playing cards which eliminate the need for a game host to shuffle cards before games by taking a lot of time as well as eliminate the possibility of cheating. A shuffled playing cards (1) obtained by shuffling a predetermined number of decks of playing cards (12) using a shuffling machine is packaged as an individual pack. The shuffled playing cards (1) is individually packaged and sealed with an adhesive label (13). A bar code (13a) which represents a unique shuffled card ID has been printed on the adhesive label (13). The shuffled card ID is registered in a database by being associated with information which allows identification of a shuffling machine used to shuffle the playing card set.

Abstract: A rollover switch has a housing carrying a depressible cover coupled to a switch whereby a depression of the cover in response to contact being made between the cover and an object movable across a first surface of a playfield of an amusement game functions to activate the switch. A mounting collar is sized to be positioned within an opening formed in the playfield wherein the opening extends between a second surface of the playfield and the first surface of the playfield. The mounting collar and the housing of the switch assembly have cooperating features that allow the switch assembly to be adjustably mounted within the mounting collar to thereby allow the cover to be positioned at a desired location relative to the first surface of the playfield.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and techniques for programming drug delivery are described. Such techniques may account for diffusion and mixing of drug within the fluid or allow for more flexible programming options. In one example, a method may include determining one or more fluid delivery parameters (e.g., volume, flow rate, or period of time) for a fluid that is a mixture of two other fluids. The determination may be based on one or more fluid delivery parameters of the two other fluids and/or a concentration profile representing the mixing between the two other fluids. In other examples, drug delivery programming may be facilitated by the selection of various patterns and steps of drug delivery. The system may track volume of delivered fluid to maintain desired dosing of the patient.

Abstract: A golf club head has a hollow structure composed of a head main body including a face portion provided with an opening and a face member fitted in the opening and welded to the head main body. The welded part between the face member and the head main body includes a crown-side welded part positioned substantially at the upper edge or alternatively spaced apart from the upper edge toward the lower edge by a certain distance, and a sole-side welded part spaced apart from the lower edge toward the upper edge by a certain distance which is more than zero and more than the distance. Abstract: A tip insert for a cue shaft having a cavity at the tip has a tip disc to support a tip for striking a ball and an inwardly extending section for bonding to the inside surface of the cavity. The inwardly extending section includes one or more centering flanges and a bonding surface, the centering flanges interfacing with the inner surface of the cavity and enabling a substantially consistence bond distance between the bonding surface and the inner surface of the cavity. The tip insert can be machine from a single piece of material comprising glass fiber-reinforced epoxy laminate sheets, where the individual sheets of the material are oriented perpendicular to the longitude axis of the tip insert to increase the durability and performance of the tip insert when transferring the force from the tip striking a ball.

Abstract: A bracket assembly for adjusting the elevation of a bowsight includes a first bracket portion and a second bracket portion spaced from the first bracket portion and adapted for connection to a bowsight. A first pivot arm extends between the first and second bracket portions and is connected thereto via first and second pivot joint assemblies, respectively. A second pivot arm extends between the first and second bracket portions and is connected thereto via third and fourth pivot joint assemblies, respectively. A range adjustment assembly is operably associated with one of the pivot arms and the first bracket portion to thereby cause pivoting movement of the first and second pivot arms and thus movement of the second bracket portion with respect to the first bracket portion to thereby adjust the elevation of a bowsight when connected to the second bracket portion.
