  • Patent number: 10005051
Abstract: A pug mill having a housing and a cantilevered shaft extending through the housing includes, in seriatim, a vacuum chamber, a wall, a mixing chamber and a reduction cone. A communication port about the shaft is positioned in the wall between the vacuum chamber and the mixing chamber. Vacuum can be maintained within the mixing chamber by air passing through the port. An auger associated with the shaft forces clay toward the reduction cone. This creates a seal for maintaining vacuum within the mixing chamber and extrudes cylindrical blocks of conditioned clay without significant air bubbles. A deflection plate rotating with the shaft and a spiral element about the shaft keep the communication port clear. The shaft is eccentrically mounted. The dividing wall is removable.

  • Patent number: 9993944
Abstract: A mobile concrete mixing unit has an aggregate bin divided into two compartments by a water tank provided within the aggregate bin. A hydraulic reservoir is provided within the water tank in order to cool the hydraulic fluid within the hydraulic reservoir and warm the water within the water tank. The water tank also helps to keep the aggregate warm and flowable when used in low temperatures. A lower portion of the water tank includes sides that slope inwardly so that aggregate within the bin can drop freely onto a conveyor belt without bridging between the water tank and the sidewalls of the aggregate bin.

  • Patent number: 9968895
Abstract: A submersible aerator apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus uses injected air to create both aeration and mixing of a liquid. The apparatus is submersible and may be lowered into a container holding a liquid with suspended and coagulated solids. Air supplied to the apparatus is injected into the liquid which results in an upward flow of air bubbles and entrained liquid. This action mixes and aerates the liquid. A method of using a submersible air-injection aerator is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9926822
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment includes a blending chamber having a urea inlet, a blending chamber gas inlet, and a blending chamber outlet. A urea source provides a pressurized urea solution to the urea inlet at a urea injection pressure, and a pressurized gas source transmits pressurized gas to the blending chamber gas inlet via a passageway. The passageway is configured to decrease pressure of the pressurized gas transmitted along its length from a first pressure of gas received from the pressurized gas source to a second pressure of gas provided to the blending chamber gas inlet. The first pressure of gas received from the pressurized gas source is greater than the urea injection pressure and the second pressure of gas provided to the blending chamber gas inlet is less than the urea injection pressure.

  • Patent number: 9839889
Abstract: A mixer gun system includes a holder cap configured to separately store components in separate chambers. The components are selectively releasable through channels fluidly communicating with the separate chambers. The components are constituent materials for a bone cement mixture. A body forms a mixing chamber and is configured to receive the holder cap. The mixing chamber includes an opening corresponding with the channels for the separate chambers. A piston is disposed within the mixing chamber. A plunger is coupled to the piston and is configured to be biased toward the mixing chamber such that when the components are released into the mixing chamber a pressure developed by a biased motion of the plunger and piston infuses the components to form bone cement. Upon resetting the plunger and the piston, the bone cement is dispensed from the mixing chamber by the same biased motion. Methods of use are disclosed.
