  • Patent number: 10787789
Abstract: A work vehicle control system includes an actual topography acquisition device, a storage device, and a controller. The actual topography acquisition device acquires actual topography information, which indicates an actual topography of a work target. The storage device stores design topography information, which indicates a final design topography that is a target topography of the work target. The controller acquires the actual topography information from the actual topography acquisition device. The controller acquires the design topography information from the storage device. The controller generates a command signal to move the work implement along a locus that is more gently sloped than the actual topography when the actual topography positioned below the final design topography is sloped.

  • Patent number: 10780889
Abstract: Disclosed herein are an apparatus for detecting a road surface state in motor-driven power steering (MDPS) and a method for controlling the apparatus. The apparatus may include a column torque sensor to detect column torque applied to a steering column and to output a column torque signal; a steering angle sensor to detect a steering angular velocity of a steering wheel; a vehicle speed sensor to detect a driving speed of a vehicle; and a road surface determiner to determine a road surface state based on a boost gain, which is calculated based on the driving speed and the column torque, and on a phase offset between the column torque and the steering angular velocity and to output a road surface determination signal.

  • Patent number: 10766487
Abstract: Autonomous driving systems and methods include a controller of a first vehicle configured to detect an operating state of a second vehicle proximate the first vehicle, and to predict, based on the operating state of the second vehicle, a potential behavior for the second vehicle that optimizes a cost function from the perspective of the second vehicle. The controller then controls the first vehicle to avoid a collision with the second vehicle assuming the second vehicle operates according to the potential behavior.

  • Patent number: 10760917
Abstract: A transportation management system matches drivers with riders. After a rider has been picked up by a driver, a navigation route from the rider's pickup location to the driver's next stop is displayed to the driver on a mobile computing device. Prior to picking up the rider, only an initial portion of the navigation route is displayed to the driver. The amount of the initial portion displayed to the driver is dynamically determined according to its navigational complexity.

  • Patent number: 10760925
Abstract: An approach is provided for generating an optimized parking search route based on one or more other vehicle driving paths. The approach involves determining that a first vehicle has initiated a search for a parking space. The approach also involves determining a first detection and a second detection of a second vehicle by the first vehicle during the search. The approach further involves calculating a predicted route taken by the second vehicle based on a time difference between the first detection and the second detection. The approach further involves generating the parking search route for the first vehicle based on deprioritizing the predicted route taken by the second vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10759401
Abstract: A brake controller for controlling the brakes of a towed vehicle which is pulled by a towing vehicle comprises a sensor assembly which determines the position of the brake pedal of the towing vehicle, and if necessary, compensates for inertia which can affect the output of some sensors. The output of the sensor assembly is transmitted to a processor, which in turn transmits a signal (the strength of which is a function of the pedal position) to brakes of the towed vehicle to activate the brakes of the towed vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10738525
Abstract: A vehicle opening/closing body control device includes: an assist control unit that applies a voltage to a motor which drives an opening/closing body of a vehicle so as to perform an assist opening/closing actuation that assists a manual operation force with respect to the opening/closing body for performing an opening/closing actuation of the opening/closing body; and an actuation finish determination unit that determines whether or not a finish condition of the assist opening/closing actuation is satisfied, based on a change amount of an opening/closing speed of the opening/closing body per unit time, in which the assist control unit stops applying the voltage to the motor in a case where the finish condition of the assist opening/closing actuation is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 10696295
Abstract: When a driver performs a driving operation in the parking operation, a control unit of a parking assist device performs acceleration in accordance with the driving operation by the driver under a condition that a distance to a target stop position from a position of the own vehicle is larger than a predetermined distance, and after the acceleration, the control unit performs deceleration so that the own vehicle stops in a range to a limit stop position.

  • Patent number: 10665108
Abstract: An information processing apparatus mounted on a first vehicle includes a recognizer that recognizes a second vehicle that is present in a travelling direction of the first vehicle on a basis of sensing information obtained from a sensor attached to an outside of the first vehicle, and a determiner that determines whether or not control for overtaking the recognized second vehicle is executed. The apparatus also includes a generator that generates first information for moving the first vehicle in a second direction toward a second road end in a case where the determiner determines that the control for overtaking is executed, the second road end being opposite to a first road end toward which a first direction is directed, and the first direction being a direction in which the first vehicle moves in order to overtake the second vehicle. The apparatus further includes an outputter that outputs the generated first information.
