  • Patent number: 9598917
Abstract: A rotary table has a non-circular drive recess in the central opening which carries an assembly of mounting structures and slip carriers that when joined together fit in the non-circular drive recess. The plurality of slip carriers are distributed about the periphery of the drive recess are extended down into the central opening of the rotary table. A slip and die arrangement is situated on each slip carrier. Slip manipulation drive cylinders, are distributed about the assembly periphery and move a synchronizer plate that moves the slips vertically to grip or release pipe extending through the opening of the rotary table.

  • Patent number: 9528323
Abstract: A fluid drilling head for drilling a bore hole through rock. The fluid drilling head has a rotatable nozzle assembly incorporating a plurality of nozzles arranged to form fluid jets when provided with a supply of drilling fluid under pressure. The fluid jets include pilot jets directed in the general direction of movement of the drilling head and reaming jets directed generally radially and arranged to enlarge the initial hole formed by the pilot jets. A gauging ring is located behind the cutting head and sized to the intended diameter of the bore hole. The gauging ring is arranged to slide axially relative to the rotating cutting head between a rearward position where the reaming jets are exposed, and a forward position where some or all of the reaming jets are shrouded by the gauging ring and inhibited from enlarging the diameter of the bore hole.

  • Patent number: 9500059
Abstract: A water pump pipe cutoff tool provides a means to cut and retrieve an existing original water pipe from within an existing well in such cases where a faulty submersible pump is trapped within said well. By cutting and removing the original water pipe, a new submersible pump can be installed into the well, thereby avoiding the expense of drilling a new well.
