  • Patent number: 5893691
Abstract: In a machine tool provided with a column 4 mounted on a back end portion of a bed 1 having a table 2, and a spindle head 20 arranged in a vertically movable manner to the column 4, both sides of an upper portion of the column 4 is connected with both sides of a front-end portion of the bed 1 through support members 42, 43. Even the machine has a structure that the spindle head 20 embeds a main shaft rotating at high rpm, vibration can be reduced. The column is affected by a force to fall down in the direction due to the weight of the spindle head 20, but the tilt caused by the force can be avoided. Accordingly, a high finish surface accuracy can be ensured without an increase in size and weight.

  • Patent number: 5833410
Abstract: A chamfer forming apparatus for a crank shaft oil hole is provided with a spindle chuck which is variably moved in response to different locations of a crank shaft oil hole inlet portion. The invention includes linearly translating rack gear driven by an oil pressure cylinder, a pinion gear driven by the rack gear, a drum coaxially mounted to the pinion gear, a spindle chuck eccentrically rotatably mounted to the drum, a chucking a chamfer working tool, an adjusting bracket fixedly mounted to top end of the drum, a stopper member on two sides of the adjusting bracket, and a fixing bracket provided on the housing to limit the rotation of the drum within a predetermined angle range by contact with the stoppers.

  • Patent number: 5772250
Abstract: A media for restricting the copying of a color-reversal document utilizing one or more microdots that are embedded in the color-reversal document for providing a non-visual, but machine detectable signal. By detecting the presence of one or more microdots in the color-reversal document, a copy machine is controllably prevented from copying the color-reversal document.

  • Patent number: 5769457
Abstract: A printed sheet product comprises a thin core having a pair of opposing major planar sides. A plurality of sets of variable data fields are printed on at least a first side of the core. One or more of the variable data fields of each set may be printed on the opposing second side of the core. Each set of printed variable data fields includes at least a first data field printed with a numeric code, the numeric code of each variable data field set being different from that of each other set printed on the first side of the core. Each set of variable data fields further includes a second data field printed with either a name and mailing address uniquely associated with a numeric code or with another representation of the numeric code. Where printed, the name and address of each variable data set differs from that of each other variable data set printed on the first side of the core.
