Abstract: When a compression part outputs JPEG data which is discrete in the time direction, the valid data is accumulated in an FIFO. When the valid data of predetermined size is accumulated in the FIFO, an encapsulation part adds markers before and after the valid data and transmits JPEG stream data to a host control module. This stream data includes encapsulated data in which the valid data is encapsulated with the markers and invalid data. The host control module stores this stream data in an SDRAM without any change. Then, by searching data for the markers, the valid data is acquired and the JPEG data is reproduced.
Abstract: A gradation correction curve creation apparatus for creating gradation correction curves for improving color reproducibility in UCR process includes a first gradation correction curve creation section creating a first gradation correction curve based on measured density values and target density values of monochromatic patches, a second gradation correction curve creation section creating a second gradation correction curve based on measured calorimetric values and target calorimetric values of gray patches, a start position calculation section calculating start positions on the first and second gradation correction curves at which the gray component in color mixture starts replacement with K through UCR process, and a gradation correction curve combining section creating a third gradation correction curve by smoothly connecting the more shadowed side of the first gradation correction curve than the start position and the more highlighted side of the second gradation correction curve than the start position.
Abstract: A method and system includes a method for generating a classifier from a set of collected sample patterns for use in pattern recognition. The sample patterns are representative of data to be processed by the classifier and are converted to electronic signals to be manipulated by a programmed computer. Further, the method and system generate and identify a number of transformers that map between sample patterns of the same pattern-type in the collected sample patterns. The method and system use the transformers and the sample patterns to generate additional patterns. The method and system then forms a table that contains the generated patterns and an indication of the pattern-type to which each pattern belongs. The process repeats the steps of generating additional patterns and forming a table until a measure accuracy for the mapping of the sample patterns and transformers do not provide an acceptable improvement.
