  • Patent number: RE46923
Abstract: An electrical connection device is arranged for connection to a machine cable and includes a pin and a socket. The pin and the socket have engagement surfaces with the pin or socket having another surface that forms a wedging surface for the device. The pin and the socket are moveable relative to each other from a released position to an engaging position in which the engaging surfaces form an electrical contact. The device also includes a wedge portion arranged to impart a force on the wedging surface by contacting the wedging surface on movement to the engaging position. The pin and the socket are arranged so that the engagement surfaces move into opposing relationship on movement to the engaging position and the force imparted on the wedging surface biases one engagement surface against an opposing engagement surface.

  • Patent number: RE47110
Abstract: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate reporting an uplink power headroom (UPH) during an E-DCH transmission in a CELL_FACH state. For a E-DCH transmission, a reduced measurement period can be utilized in order to report a UPH measurement. In particular, the reduced measurement period can be less than 100 milliseconds. The UPH measurement can be communicated based upon receipt of AICH/E-AICH and transmission of DPCCH for a configurable number of radio frames. The UPH measurement can be based upon the transmitted power prior to actual data transmission. Additionally, the UPH measurement can be included within scheduling information portion of a MAC header.

  • Patent number: RE48107
Abstract: A multicolor illumination device using an excitation light source and a multi-segmented moving plate with wavelength conversion materials (e.g. phosphors) is disclosed. The exciting light source is a light emitting diode or a laser diode emitting in the UV and/or blue region. The wavelength conversion materials absorb the excitation light and emit longer wavelength light. Each segment of the moving plate contains a different wavelength conversion material or no wavelength conversion material. The plate is supported to move so that different segments are exposed to the excitation light at different times. The plate may be a wheel or rectangular in shape and rotates or oscillates linearly. When the plate moves, light of different colors is generated sequentially in time by the different wavelength conversion materials in different segments of the plate. The multicolor illumination device may be used in a projector system having a microdisplay imager for image display.

  • Patent number: RE48548
Abstract: In an image sensor, if a pixel for focusing has a structure having a light-shielding layer for performing pupil division, between the micro lens and the photoelectric conversion unit, the pixel may be configured such that the focal position of the micro lens is positioned further on the micro lens side than the light-shielding layer, and the distance from the focal position of the micro lens to the light-shielding layer is greater than 0 and less than nF?, where n is the refractive index at the focal position of the micro lens, F is the aperture value of the micro lens, and ? is the diffraction limit of the micro lens. This enables variation in the pupil intensity distribution of the pixel for focusing due to positional production tolerance of components to be suppressed.
