Patent number: 10085350Abstract: A method and an arrangement are disclosed for transferring electrically conductive material in fluid form onto a substrate. Said substrate is preheated to a first temperature, and of said electrically conductive material there is produced fluid electrically conductive material. The fluid electrically conductive material is sprayed onto the preheated substrate to form a pattern of predetermined kind. The substrate onto which said fluid electrically conductive material was sprayed is cooled to a third temperature, which is lower than the melting point of said electrically conductive material.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2013Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: STORA ENSO OYJInventors: Juha Maijala, Petri Sirviö

Patent number: 10058888Abstract: A high speed granule delivery system and method is disclosed for dispensing granules in intermittent patterns onto a moving asphalt coated strip in the manufacture of roofing shingles. The system includes a granule hopper and a rotationally indexable pocket wheel in the bottom of the hopper. A series of pockets are formed in the circumference of the wheel and the pockets are separated by raised lands. A seal on the bottom of the hopper seals against the raised lands as the wheel is indexed. In use, the pockets of the pocket wheel drive through and are filled with granules in the bottom of the hopper. As each pocket is indexed beyond the seal, it is exposed to the moving asphalt coated strip below and its granules fall onto the strip to be embedded in the hot tacky asphalt.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2015Date of Patent: August 28, 2018Assignee: Building Materials Investment CorporationInventor: James A. Patent number: 10035296Abstract: A substrate useful for imprint lithography having a location thereon defining an imprint field, the imprint field further defined by an interior region, a perimeter region surrounding the interior region, and a border, with the perimeter region further including fluid control features. A polymerizable material deposited on the substrate at the imprint field location is allowed to spread on the substrate, with the fluid control relief features redirecting the spreading of the polymerizable material so as to minimize spreading of the polymerizable material beyond the imprint field border as further imprint lithography techniques are then performed.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2016Date of Patent: July 31, 2018Assignee: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Zhengmao Ye, Niyaz Khusnatdinov, Edward Brian Fletcher

Patent number: 10016786Abstract: A process for manufacturing a coated panel. The process can comprise providing a panel having at least an upper surface, a lower surface, and edges joining the upper surface and the lower surface. The panel can be arranged so that the lower surface is facing upwards, and first particles can be dispersed on the lower surface of the panel. The process can comprise turning the panel so that the upper surface is facing upwards, and applying first particles and second particles on the upper surface of the panel. A décor can be applied in the form of a printed pattern to the upper surface. The process can further comprise curing and/or melting the first particles to form a sealed upper surface whereby the surface forms a coating providing at least one property of abrasion resistance and scratch resistance on the surface.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2014Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: PERGO (EUROPE) ABInventors: Magnus Quist, Peter Miller, Jan Ericsson
